These yoga pants are fantastic. I bought a pair to try and they were so comfortable I immediately bought two more. The prices are different for the different sizes and colours so I would go for the cheapest. This means that while I am a size large and bought two greys in size large, inthe black I actually bought the extra large which still fits (but is a bit looser and a tiny bit longer)168
but I saved a third on the price. But I would say definitely buy some, for the price they are fantastic. They move with you when doing Pilates or yoga and wash really well.

Same medium size Spalding Yoga pant smaller than previous purchase

I bought the same brand Spalding yoga pants in size M previously. I compared the waist band size of my previous purchase with the current purchase of size M. The previous waist measures 31 inches and the current one measures 28 inches. It is frustrating when sizes are not consistent as it is a nuisance to follow up on purchases.

There really isn't a great deal of difference between the bootleg fit and the straight leg fit. If buying again I would get the straight leg it as these were very similarly styled to GT yoga pants, which are flared. The fabric was a higher quality and that's what I was looking for, and non transparent. I would buy the straight leg version again, quality is good and seams are sewn sturdy (so the hip seams don't seem to show stress under yoga). I bought a size large bootleg (and a size xl straight as insurance), xl is a bit loose on me, though I measure 38" hip, size L is right size for that measurement, length is a bit more than 32".... I would buy the Spalding brand again, as it's good value. I will post a pic of straight leg vs bootleg on the straight leg version review when I submit that review.

Spalding vs Danskin

Just bought this Spalding along with a similar Danskin pant. Here are the differences:

- The material for both is a similar weight, neither thick nor thin.
- Danskin waistband = 2.75 in/7 cm with a wide elastic that is sewn in top and bottom.
- Spalding waistband = 2.4 in/6 cm with a 3/4-inch elastic (see first photo with arrows)
- inseam is 31 inches or 79 cm for both.
- Danskin hem width is narrower than the Spalding (see 2nd photo with tape measure) but tops of legs are similar.

Anyway, I'm curious to see if the elastic in the Spalding will eventually begin to roll. Had I known that it was not sewn top and bottom prior, I would not have bought these pants. That's the problem with buying online. Overall, I'm happy with both for now.

These pants are comfy and have good stretch but I guess I expected a better quality fabric since they're Spalding. They looked great right from the package but after the first wash they resemble something bought at Walmart. I'll still wear them, around the house, relaxing or doing housework, which is their purpose, for me at least, but within minutes of wear they look well used, lint covered and stretched out at the knee.

Comfy and flattering. I do wish I went down a size, just because it does stretch out a bit. Not enough to be saggy, but enough I don’t feel as hugged/secured. They were pretty long on me, I’m 5’2” and my inseem is 29”.

I have loved these pants for years, wearing them until they become threadbare!! I normally take a medium but previously went with large so that they are loose and comfy around the waist. (I wear a 28 in jeans). However, I just returned an order of 5 pairs of large as they are more like a size small or very tight medium. I just ordered one pair of XL and they fit like the larges used to. Last ones I bought were in 2019. I think the manufacturer has changed.

These pants are an excellent cut and keep their shape very well even after washing. I hang them up to dry. The one drawback is that they don’t come in Petite size, so the legs have to be shortened. I still haven’t hemmed mine, and I can assure you they do not shrink through washing - I was sort of hoping they did’

I normally take a size medium (a North American size 8-10) in pants. I ordered one size up (the large) knowing that cotton shrinks in the dryer. After washing and machine drying, it fits perfect. The fabric (I ordered the black) was true to the description (mostly made of cotton with a very low percentage of spandex). It clings to your skin with adequate stretch. Because of the cling, err on the side of ordering one size up. If too big, just shrink in the dryer. Not too sheer. Can wear this out in public no problem.
