I've come back to edit my rating. Despite my hack, this still failed me. A couple of weeks in, and the drain was full of hair. Spend a couple extra bucks on a stainless steel catcher that works and doesn't discolour!

I was reasonably please with this product, but did find it sometimes floated around in the wee bit of water in the tub, and was also not confident it was trapping enough hair. BUT, here's my hack. You're getting five of these-- place one over the drain as you're supposed to. Then, take ANOTHER ONE and place it on top, knobblies facing each other. Then listen to the anguished shrieks of drain-seeking hair strands as they get trapped in the double-jawed teeth of doom (think of Golum, when he lost his "precious"). The added weight of the second trap is enough to keep it in place, and it now traps more hair. This hack does not affect water drainage. You're welcome.

Didn’t work at first but.....

I use these in my bathroom tub. Unfortunately my drain stopper pops up higher so these hair catchers cannot fully cover the drain. Since I didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning the product, I decided to place a couple right in the gap between the drain and drain stopper. Although suction is not as good, these hair catchers managed to stop hair going down the drain without slowing down water flow.
I also like the colors because they aren’t too bright.

I love these things. I had my shower and tub replaced by a large walk-in shower that is all tiled and has a flat drain, so I couldn't use my tub shroom anymore to catch my hair before it goes down the drain. I was a bit skeptical about these things because they looked pretty simple, they work like a charm. I have to say that I place it on top of my drain upside down so that all of the little protrusions are sticking upwards, but it works very well!

These cups did not have any suction to the tub. When the tap was turned on it flew to the back of the tub. I placed it back on the drain and with the shower on it was fine, however it did not collect any hair. I have been using a stainless steel hair catcher that I had to clean out everyday. So this cup did not work for our hair. When I tried to return it, the company was going to charge me to ship it back. As it was only 11.98 I will keep it and give them away. Useless product and not worth buying.

At first I didn't think I would need as many as the number that came in the set, but now they are on every drain in the house and I'm glad I have them.
