Battery died after 5 months using twice a week.

I was really pleased with this product at first. It was great value for money, or so it seemed. It was delivered at the beginning of February 2020 to power our spare vacuum cleaner. We do use it twice a week and it is charged and discharged in line with the battery manufacturers guidelines on the Amazon page. After 5 months, the battery no longer charges. We have tried using a different Dyson wall charger to rule that out and still, the battery won't charge. The blue flashing lights indicate it is taking a charge, after 3.5 hours, nothing. To say that I am disappointed after 5 months of use is an understatement. I cannot find a way to replace the item through the supplier or through Amazon. Surely products come with a warranty of some kind. As the product was supplied and shipped from within Australia (according to suppliers Amazon page) it should be covered under Australian Consumer Law. I am aware that a battery is consumable but it should last longer than 5 months with the limited use I've given it.

Poor product quality, poorly assembled, and did not charge.

The holes for the screws were close but didn’t 100% align hence the screws were hard to get in for installation.

The metal charging port inside the plastic hole for charging also was also not aligned with the plastic hole and just wriggled around inside instead of being firm.

The battery would not charge at all. Probably an internal electrical connection issue related to the charging port issue mentioned.

The switch was extremely stiff.

Cant comment on battery life as I could not charge this battery.

This battery was delivered fast, and installed easily. It charged without problems. It initially lasted as well as the Dyson original, perhaps a little longer. However it was very soon not able to run in MAX mode (the vacuum cleaner would cut out after a few seconds) so clearly its peak power delivery was not quite the same as the original. The battery started to lose life after ~ 11 months and had died completely after 1 year. The original Dyson battery lasted ~ 3 years. So while this battery may seem good value at ~ 1/2 to 2/3 the price of the official battery its short lifetime makes it a questionable value proposition.

Batteries X 2 arrived promptly, were easily installed.
Became aware of problem when vacuum kept cutting out, indicating not charging and light not eliminating. On inspection found connector in battery was missing and was not able to be charged.
Completed report and returning to amazon today.
Problem when completing your online defective product report the only option was for return and refund. I would have preferred the option to replace. I still want the product. I do not see the need to rebuy, the inconvenience and possibly at a higher price. 1 battery totally satisfied with product. 2nd. battery faulty.
I would prefer the battery just be replaced and returned to me with minimal inconvenience.

I have had my Dyson for about 3 years now, it's been amazing. However recently it stopped working and I could see the red light on the battery. Indicating that it was probably dead and not charging. I went ahead and purchased this item. After receiving it, I followed a youtube video on how to replace the battery. It was super easy, I had to remove 2 Philip type screws and slot the battery in. After fixing the screws back and charging it; it works like brand new.

Great Battery Replacemnt for Dyson.

Our DC59 stick was lasting 1-2minutes. This battery replacement solved that and restored it to functioning as-new.
The changeover is relatively simple, but not immediately intuitive, but there is a Youtube video that shows how to remove the old battery and replace it. Once the few "tricks" are revealed, it merely involves removing two phillips head-screws and replacing them. Highly recommended if your vacuum is waning. Simple DIY fix.

The battery looks almost identical to the Original Dyson one, and seems to perform as expected.

In the short time we've had this product (five or six weeks), everything has been really good. It installs easily and works safely and effectively - no problems of any kind. So far so good! But we’ll have to wait many more months to test one of the more important requirements which is, of course, that the battery continues to perform well over a reasonable period of time. So far I’ve only awarded one star for battery life because we haven't had it long enough to give anything higher. But the signs so far engender optimism.

As things stand, I’d definitely get one of these again.

However after contacting customer service as it hasn't lasted as long as it should do, they quickly agreed to send a replacement battery which I received within a week.
New battery works great! Definitely recommend them due to their fantastic customer service!
