Wow, what a life changing experience. This light is insanely well priced and extremely good. I have been using it as an overhead light for wargaming as well as painting miniatures and it is perfect.

Friends have commented "holy moly, that light must've cost hundreds to be this good" only to be frozen with shock when I tell them the actual price.

Fantastic product and well worth the dosh.

I bought this light for doing jigsaw puzzles. Most traditional lamps and lights throw too much glare on the puzzle pieces making it hard to see. This light does a great job diffusing the light so no real glare and it shows true color rendering which helps with hobbies like puzzling. The light also looks nice, is easy to move around and to adjust the lamp head.

It's a great lamp and everything it still working as it should. I should have reviewed it earlier but I have given it a great test over the years and not one single led has failed. This is a testament to Tao Tronics and their quality products. Function wise it has never failed me and I use it for several hours daily. My only gripe that in my opinion would make this lamp perfect is if the polished/gloss finish on the frame and base. As soon as it gets slightly dusty, just wiping it away with a duster leaves tiny little scratches everywhere. If it were a matt finish that did not show scratches than it would be perfect! It would be 5 stars if it weren't for the easily marked finish.

I bought this lamp for miniature painting. I needed a lamp that simulated daylight as I mostly have free time in the evening. The study setting is my favourite and the ability to adjust brightness is very handy. The lamp folds up fairly snugly apart from the base and the usb charging port is a luxury addition I wouldn't have thought to add to a lamp. Satisfied and functions as required.

The lamp is of very high build quality and the Phillips bulb is used to its greatest capacity within the lamp. I like that the lamp is of a contemporary swingarm design, has its controls on the base of the lower arm rather than the often lazy power cord switch. Speaking of switches, the touch controls are well made and offer a great variety of lighting modes, I especially like the warm 'Relax' and 'Sleep' settings that give me the yellow glow of a halogen light without the associated power bill. Another two features worth mentioning to potential buyers is the memory function which saves the previously used lighting settings provided that the lamp is still connected to an uninterrupted power source from when it was previously used, it is really handy on a device with an array of lighting options. Secondly and finally, the fading in and out of the light when turning the lamp on and off respectively gives the lamp an additional feeling of quality at a budget price!

Design Imperfection

Lighting is good. But these are some of the design imperfection.
1. the lamp is consisted of 3 moving parts. The buttons part, the middle part and the lighting part. (No Problem there)
2. The touch button part can only rotate 180 degrees (no problem)
3. The middle part movement is only 40 degrees movement (it is OK)
4. the lighting partcan be folded almost folded in completely but it can NOT be turned or swiveled which I think is a big mistake in design. So when I use this lamp side wide the panel must also be side way rather than facing me.

I brought this light because I review technical documents for work. This light is just brilliant - plugs into 240V - most are usb powered - quality is brilliant. It has 4 colour settings and 5 brightness within each of those four settings. Soft on and soft off and remembers the last colour and brightness setting.
It also has a USB outlet on the side so you can charge small devices - Absolutely Brilliant product can't fault it in any way - Planning on Buying more
