I had previously bought a Breville humidifier which broke in 2 weeks and had to return and found the TaoTronics humidifier with so many reviews. I have been using this for a week and a half and my husband and I love it! Its perfect for the winter nights were now experiencing and even better for me because of my psoriasis. No issues, easy to use, quiet (except for the occasional glugging water sound) and the mist control is amazing. We use it on the low setting and uses half a tank overnight.

This humidifier is very stylish with the multicolored, animated display and bluish light lighting up the water. It puts out a smokey, very fine mist and I'm not experiencing any damp or wet surfaces. I have placed it on a fairly high perch which probably helps with that. It's super quiet and it's easy to operate the digital controls. It's great waking up NOT feeling like I slept in the desert. I have placed 3 shungite nuggets in the tank so I'm not only being moisturized as I sleep, I'm being "shungisized" as well! Don't know about shungite? Go to the Cosmic Reality website and learn all about it and get some for yourself as well as enjoy all of their great radio shows live and archived. I'm using only distilled water and I haven't yet experienced the cleaning process so I didn't rate that. Hopefully that won't be much of an issue given the use of distilled water.

I have to write a review on this since I Absolutely LOVE this cute little one. I used to own a BIG capacity Vornado humidifier. It works very well and made a lot of mist. BUT it's not EASY WASH at all. Heavy and bulky. One day I decided to wash it then I saw very disgusting mould plus water stain there. Very difficult to wash. Pro:
1. The 4L is medium capacity for holding water. I set humidity goal to be 50%. And set small level mist. It lasts me 2nights usually. Sometimes 2.5nights. (I m in north of California.)
2.VERY VERY quiet. Much more queit than vornado.
3.clean, wash N REFILLing water friendly. Handle to hold on top and the other handle on bottom. Love the handles. They make the refilling water to be super easy.
4. Clear window to see the water level.
5. The screen can show the exact current humidity of the room. Not just the desired humidity.
Con:
The filter of th water tank lid is just some balls stuff. I don't know what they are but looks cheap.

I've only had it for one day, so this is only my first impression. I was firstly amazed at the level of protective packaging. It was wrapped in plastic, had Styrofoam protection, then stuffed into not one, not two, but three boxes for additional protection. The unit worked right out of the box. I quickly read the instructions (didn't really need to), then filled it with water, plugged it in, turned it on, then waited for it to start working. Except that it had already started working, It was so quiet, I didn't notice until I saw the mist rising. Very quiet. There is a tiny gurgle every now and then as air bubbles rise, but that is a negligible sound.
The water tank is easy to carry and easy to fill. I have it sitting in my bedroom on an antique dresser with a marble top. I have it set to the lowest of the three mist levels. At this level, constantly running, it will last about 30 hours. The volume of mist at this level is quite sufficient for my bedroom.
