My product arrived Damaged. It was Not the fault of the packaging, that was still well intact. It seems as if it was damaged before it was shipped. I don't think it will effect the use of the Thermos . It now sits wobbly on my desk.
This is why I only gave it three stars.

When my Thermos arrived the first thing I did was Warm it up with boiling water, then I filled it to the top with Boiling water and left it for 24 hours, I opened it up and to my surprise it was still boiling hot, so I made a cupper, then washed the dishes with the rest of the water !

Being impressed I filled it again and left it for 30 hours and when opened it again it was to hot to touch comfortably and made another cupper and again used it for washing this time the cats bowls.

I haven't tried it yet for Fridge cold water yet but will be in the coming week or so when I head away for a couple of days.

I have made a 2 litre thermos of freshly ground coffee with milk in it and that stayed hot beautifully and the added that special Thermos taste was included.

This is my first Real Thermos and unlike the old ones that were some sort of glass interior, easily broken, this is stainless steel inside and out and I have No doubt that the body of the thermos will last for the rest of my life.

My only criticism / suggestion / complaint is the screw Bung that goes into the top and the inner cup lining The rest of the thermos if looked after should last a lifetime (?) why can't you make a more resilient bung and cup lining to last the same?

You might get maybe 3 to 5 years out of them then what will "Thermos Stainless King Vacuum Insulated Flask, 2L" sell you replacements?

Built in obsolescence is so unbecoming on an otherwise exceptional product
why not make it "PERFECT' and show the rest how it's done?

What you lose in selling replacement bungs and lids, you will make up in huge sales of a product of extended longevity, remember that the earth has a potential customer base of nearly 8 billion people.

This Thermos is WELL WORTH the purchase.

So far, so good. Purchased the Thermos for the family and I've been extremely happy so far with the cold and heat retention. It's a huge size and was really surprised by how big the unit was when it got delivered. It's 37CM High and 13CM Wide. The 2L capacity suits our family well on trips. When we place ice in the thermos, ice cubes are still there late into the day! The heat retention is amazing, it's as if you've just boiled your cup of tea not that long ago! Always be sure to pre-chill or pre-heat your thermos before putting in your main beverage!

Unbelievable heat retention for coffee and tea. We usually leave the top off for 5-10 minutes before sealing if planning to drink within 1-2 hours as it keeps the heat so well, otherwise it’s as hot as when boiling water is poured from the kettle. Highly recommended flask. Very satisfied with purchasing this high quality flask. It would be good if Thermos provided an optional case or bag for this flask and up to 2 matching mugs.

24 hrs is a stretch of the imagination

The Company's claim that liquids are kept hot for 24 hours is not to be believed. Even after 12 hours, the fluid is obviously not as hot as when first poured and I find myself boosting the temperature in the microwave.

However, it still saves my having to boil the kettle each time I want a cuppa, so it does save on power usage, even if I have to use the microwave for a few seconds or so.

I've not used the product for cold liquids, but I dare say the same would apply as to the temperature claims.

I had been searching for a thermos that will keep its contents still hot after 24 hours and this one delivers. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the thermos' top is so slippery; hence hard to grip to open it. Its smooth surface does not provide traction for opening it. Using a tea towel does not help so I do not close it tightly.

I solved the top's slipperiness by pressing my right hand on the top, then revolving the handle clockwise.

I take hot water to work, filled it up at 6.30am, did not make a coffee that day and left it at work. Made a coffee with it at 11am the next day and yes was cooling but still warm enough to drink. This is a fantastic product.
