I've had the clear garbage bag covers for this same car before, they are always a little bit baggy. That's not great if there's a little bit of wind on your car is still outside. I also found the clear ones to be extremely tender and had holes come through them very easily. THIS is actually a really good cover (for a garbage bag). It fits my car barely, but fits. I will say this, the elastic band that goes the entire way around this cover, it is extremely strong. It's so strong that while we were trying to stretch this garbage bag over my giant car, I seriously thought we were going to snap the elastic. Two full grown men yanking on this thing trying to get it to stretch out over top of this huge vehicle was sure to break the elastic. That was not the case. Also the plastic on this is slightly thicker than the clear garbage bag covers, so it's actually a little bit tougher in general. I have had this off and on the car a couple of times now and it is still intact, and that is impressive considering what it takes to get this all the way around the vehicle with this crazy tight elastic. It certainly will never blow off in the wind, and it creates a very tight tent over the front and rear of the vehicle for any sort of water to shed off straight away. I realize this is a long review, but I'm quite impressed with this thing. I don't remember what the actual size specification is in the listing for the product, but my car is 17 ft and 8 in Long and this thing barely fits on it. It actually fits perfect, but in the process of getting it on you seriously think you're going to break it. I think I'm going to buy another one of these, so one day when this one actually does finally snap I'll have a second one to replace it. It's way better than the clear ones by a large margin, and I think I can probably get five or maybe seven uses out of it before it's finally junk.
After spending hours cleaning tree sap off my car, I decide to buy a cover to use until I could put up a more permanent solution. Since that was 2-3 weeks off, I went for inexpensive over high quality. It's a little unwieldy to use, the FRONT and BACK tags are not centered. The two layers can be difficult to work with and are rather thin, such that snagging on a windshield wiper will tear it. It's basically a gigantic two-ply trash bag. Because it was challenging to put on or take off, I used it over the weekends and parked elsewhere when I'd be driving the next day. This may sound like a complaint. The truth is that it lasted with only a few patched holes and it kept my car free of sap. It did everything I wanted it to do, and it lasted long enough for my needs.
I would consider this for longer-term only if I wasn't using the car during that period, but for a temporary cover, the price can't be beat.
It's been 30 days on a big luxury car stored outside. It's held up in the wind with a little duct tape on the corners of the car to prevent it from ripping in the heavy wind. So far, so good. In a light breeze, the air can inflate the cover and allow fresh air around the car which is fantastic !!!! I ordered another one to replace this one when it finally fails. The price is right.
The cover was clearly labeled with front and back to make it easier to install. The plastic had a sticky feeling to it and my hands felt it the coating rubbed off from the car cover. It wont scratch your car but it might leave a residue on the car. Barely fit my car, felt really tight and it’s a Porsche 911 (not a large car by any means). It also ripped very easily. Overall not a big fan of the car cover.
Took about 15mins a car to get almost a foot on snow off my cars. Here in the suburbs of Philadelphia. The covers saved so much time a bs with the snow. I will buy 3 more for next snow season just to have backups. Sorry no before and after pics.
When putting the cover on, I noticed that it was pretty easy for my finger to puncture a small hole in it, so I started being real careful while pulling on one end to the other, but it’s roomy and not too tight. It fitted in a Mitsubishi Galant that’s sitting in my backyard. It’s only been a week, but I hope it at least holds up in the weather. The silver plastic is a great look.
