What a let down as we looked forward to a family game

Well, now we've got this newer version and the playing field is finally levelled. And I've thrashed my husband at least 5 times!
The questions seem a bit "dumbed down" compared to the original edition and there are a lot on contemporary pop culture - not so good if you are more into "Clarks" than "Converse" or "Mozart" than "Little Mix" but that means there is something for all ages.
Disappointed in the absence of card holders - which was inconvenient and messy for passing round questions and resulted in the cards showing noticeable wear after the first use.
However, had good fun over Christmas and New Year - once with "aged parents" and once with trendy "D.i.n.k.y's".
An entertaining family activity, which I'm glad I bought..
Loss of one star because of fewer cards and no card holders.
It's a good board game for those who like challenging questions, but if you have children, I would say to buy a family edition or other easy option board game as it could take a very very long time to finish!
The worst aspect of it, from my point of view – perhaps not yours – is that the UK appears to be getting an unedited US version. Thus there's lots of questions that only have a resonance if you're an American – game shows and department stores of which no-one in Europe will have heard; questions about presidents that assume only one country has those, etc.,
