It works ok, but I expected a bit more. The movement up and down is a bit difficult. I rated this product down mainly for causing damage to my table top. The tracks that slide side to side when changing the height of the desk are mounted in such a way that they cut groves in the wood of my table! It is easily remedied with some sort of protection or padding under it, but damage was done after first use!
Bought this since I was used to having a standing desk at work, and wanted to continue that while I work at home during the pandemic. Feels super sturdy and looked like it had good build quality. However, moving the stand up and down resulted in "shavings" of some material to constantly appear. Didn't think much of it at first, until it got harder and harder to raise and lower. Did not last as long as I would have hoped...
I was happy with this until the riser stopped adjusting to its lower height causing it to be unusable while sitting. I could not get the riser to sit flat unless I used an absurd amount of force to push it down by taking it off my and pushing it on the floor. Once locked flat, to adjust it back up to the standing position the product slammed open because of a faulty mechanism that controls the pressure. Manufacturer was not able to troubleshoot so I had to return
I really like how easy it is to raise and lower the desk. However, quite upset that the second layer of the desk (keyboard holder) doesn't slide in to fit under the main table portion of the desk. It not only takes up way too much space but I find myself bumping into it when I walk by the desk. It also hangs over the edge of the desk I have it placed on. Not sure why they didn't just add a swing arm onto this piece to allow the user to slide the keyboard and mouse portion under the area where the monitor and laptop sit.
Was working great for 4 months until the hydraulic cord began oozing gel that appears to be important to the integrity of the desk standing. Now it won't stay standing / supporting itself. I have a laptop and monitor under the weight restriction, so weight isn't the issue. Hope they honor the warranty.
Update: Contacted email@example.com and they replied very quickly. They offered to send a replacement gas spring that should fix the issue. Hopefully this resolves and I will be happy to update this review with higher marks.
This product unfortunately doesn’t work. When there is nothing on it, it will go up to a standing position but then will not let you return it to sitting without using a lot of muscle. Once I added my computer monitor and laptop, it now will not even raise up. I don’t know if it is defective or what but it doesn’t function as designed. Very disappointed with this purchase and can now only use it in a locked seated position.
While the desk looks cute, I found it’s design extremely uncomfortable and impractical. If used with a monitor and a board, there is nowhere to rest your elbows and even wrists, putting extreme pressure on the hands and making working on it for long periods of time impossible. There’s no logical space for a mouse. Maybe it could be ok with a laptop alone but useless for anything more than that.
It’s pretty hard to snap in place on the table. I have to put a good amount of weight on it. I do like how big the keyboard tray is. Fits my mouse nicely next to the keyboard when standing and sitting. Doesn’t take up as much space as some of the other standing desks and just raises vertically.
