I have the worst time finding pants that I like or that fit me properly. 5'6" and size 12/14 depending on the brand. I ordered the 14/30 (length) and OH MY GOODNESS. The fit is perfect. Period. Perfect enough that I'll be ordering several more of these. But the pockets.... y'all - if you love your pockets, this pair of pants is your dream come true. Oh my. Sturdy material, reinforced in the right places, room for movement. Going to wear them for a 10 hour Tough Mudder volunteer shift and then an 8.5 hour "hike as far as you can" in mid-December so if I remember, I will come back and update this review with how they did on both!! For now, though, these are my new favorite pants ever.

Update #1: They CRUSHED Worlds Toughest Mudder volunteer shift!! And I love them. I wanted to order another pair today. BUT.... I originally paid under $30 for this pair and today the exact same pants are listed at $80?? C'mon now. Let's do better. I'll check back in a few days to see if that madness dies down and I can get another pair.
Update #2: Dec. 2019 - price is still $80 for the EXACT same pants so I guess I just have to love the ones I have. They did great on an 18 mile hike this month and I would LOVE to own at least 2 / 3 more pair but obviously not at that price. I'll definitely keep checking back. Best of luck to those of you whose size does not fall into the $80 range of pants! LOL

Finally, range pants that actually FIT!

So, I'm 5-2 and work as a police officer. I always have the hardest time finding pants that actually fit due to being a little thicker and more muscular in the legs and bottom area. Well, usually in order for me to get pants that my thighs will fit into I have to order like 3 three sizes up and then the pants do not fit properly in the waist area. A few months ago, I ordered four different brands and the only brand that fit correctly were the Vortex stretch ones. Not only did they fit, but they were so comfortable and stretched! I read the reviews and followed the suggestions. I will definitely be ordering more. Thank you Vortex for finally providing the females with a little more "junk in the trunk" (LOL) a good quality pant!

Too Small

I'm so bummed these didn't fit and now I lost the sale. I'm 5'2" 100-105 and usually wear a 0-2 depending on the cut. I specifically bought these for the elastic, and was so certain that a 0 would fit (a size chart would have helped some) I don't have any curves, and the elastic on these is useless. I could button them, but way too tight.
I bought the 2 in the regular Vertx stretch pants with elastic and they fit perfectly. I was even able to wear thermals under them and they're still comfortable.
I really wanted these to wear during the warmer months and would have been perfect, whereas the regular stretch Vertx are perfect for cold weather.
Unless you're super skinny skinny, go with the 2 in these pants.

Returning these. Those are so low that don’t even count as mid rise. I need a “mom jeans” waist. If you have a flat belly or love to show off your muffin top or the entire loaf of bread, these would be great. For my 50 year old round belly.. they are horrible.

Ordered these pants for my forensic internship after having the most difficult time finding pants. I am a size 14 and 5'6'' and was having to try men's pants until I found this pair! They are comfortable and durable, but also breathable which is great for the hot weather. They run a little small, I had to order a 16, but overall are worth the price!
