I really wanted to like this product. Everything is excellent except for one problem: The supposed nonslip backing is totally useless.
You could easily slip and sustain serious injury coming out of a bath or shower.
Or if you’re energetic and pop up off the toilet the way my little grandson does, you could fall back and crack your skull. Fortunately, I caught him before he hit his head one day after the mat slid right out from under him!!
Sadly, backing is totally useless.
Happily, I received a full refund from the merchant when I lodged a complaint.

Fibers loosen and pull

From day one on the floor of the bathroom something bothered me about the look of this rug. Then it hit me - it was unraveling all by itself! I thought at first my dog might be scratching at it and that was pulling the loops but he wasn't. Just walking and standing on it seems to be too much for it to handle. 2 days into using and it looks as old as the one we replaced. The fibers do, however, stay fluffy and don't crush down easily, so go figure! Good size, but I will have to replace this one already. BTW, it does move around the floor badly even though it has a rubber backing, so if you choose to buy, use a grip pad. Given the unlooping of the fibers, don't think I'd chance washing this rug, either.

Also got 2 smaller & commode floor rug. The material is soft but not good quality. I can feel the grout seems underneath while standing on the rugs. This material itself is soft but very slick. I have slipped many times in my bare feet. If you have loved ones prone to falls do not but these. When leaning over to use my zoom mirror the rug slowly moves. Have found pieces on the floor. So they shed. When touching back and front I can feel my fingers do they are thin. The only thing that bothers my husband is the rug moves. I really want to send them back. Our previous rugs from Walmart were thicker.

Perfect size, unbelievably soft, very absorbent. However, we are "older" folks, which is the reason for our having rubber backed rugs in the bathroom in the first place. I stood on this rug & literally watched it move as I was toweling off after my shower. The backing appears to be a rubber type substance, but when you put it in place you very quickly find out that the backing is a very slick type of material. It slides across every surface that I tested it against. Can't return, because we used it a few times. Found a 3 corner area by a doorway that I can use it for now, but It's truly a hazard.

I bought this rug twice. It matted up so quickly the first time, I thought it might be to using hairspray while standing on it. So, the second time I bought it, I didn’t use the hairspray in that bathroom. It didn’t matter. It mats up quickly just from standing on it. I wash it in cool water and dry on low. So, it wasn’t due from heat. It’s simply not a viable fabric. Too bad. It’s a pretty rug. That’s why I tried it out a second time. Threw away my money twice. Very disappointing that anyone would even sell it.

Very slippery

This is a very soft and good looking bathroom mat, however it will not stay still, its slips every time I step on it, so every time it has to be adjusted, also the cut out does not fit around a standard American commode. I would not recommend this and since there are so many warnings on the label about slipping, I assume the manufacturer knows about the issue. Fortunately this is the one for by the commode, if it were one to step onto when you get out of the shower, I would be very concerned and would not risk using it. Its bad enough having to adjust/move it every time it is stepped upon.
