Works, but you get what you pay for.

It’s a good idea, and it does work well, but as soon as you pick it up you can tell how flimsy it is. It’s made of thin aluminium and plastic. The prongs are sturdy, but their attachment isn’t. Mine lasted about half a day; one good-sized mallow bent all the prongs off their bases and inward. I can still use it, but every so often I have to go bend the prongs back outward. Would not recommend in clay/thick soils or against big weeds. Does a great job on grass and small weeds in soft soil, but I guess so would just pulling them.

It shows 2 items in description. I did not receive the hand held weeder. Half of the expected items missing is a bad start. I'll try the long weeder and update the review.
UPDATE: It's actually fun to use but doesn't get the entire root. I was really hoping to like this tool. But leaving root behind defeats the purpose. It also leaves a pretty big hole behind that you have to go back and fill. I've included photos of the holes, before refill. Stand-up weeder sent back.

It is essentially effective at removing weeds easily, especially those of us with wrtheitis, who have difficulty leaning down or working on hand s and knees. Still, the Scotts version of the same concept, works better. The problem with the Scoots product is that it breaks relatively easily.
