Kept reading purely to find out how this shemozzle turned out.
It is a rare occasion that I do not complete a book, but I just couldn't be bothered with this one. Very surprised to see it touted as a to ten best seller and the parts I read were certainly not " hilarious".. or am I just losing it in my old age?
I could see that both Liv and Adam loved one another, but Adam's freak out turned into them having a break. It was interesting to see them both fumble through their lives, the way they handled work and seeing the support they got frome their close friends. There were so many amusing moments as the characters tried to carry on as normal, and Liv's friends were hilarious as they banded together to support their friend!
This was quite the entertaining read, I laughed a lot while reading it. I enjoyed Kelk's world building and how the characters handled each hurdle. The side characters added an element of spark and I just couldn't read it quick enough!

Well the last day does not go to plan, Adams so called meticulous plan falls short.
Now back at home he decides he wants a break, he changes his mind, now Liv wants a break and everyone has an opinion. We see the backwards forwards of them almost on the verge of getting together and rows, a christening, and friends taking sides and a few laughs thrown in until it becomes a mess. So will Adam get it right? Will Liv say yes? And will they ever work things out……
This book is different to your typical chick lit/romance story. Instead of starting when the couple first meet we meet Liv and Adam just before everything goes terribly wrong. While I love the typical boy meets girl story I also really enjoyed this change of pace. Especially when you throw in Lindsey's unique and witty style.
The book switches between Liv and Adam's POV which I really enjoyed. I love seeing the story from different perspectives. It's really interesting to see the story through another pair of eyes. Especially in this instance where we got to see inside the male head as well as the female. Liv and Adam are extremely relatable characters and you can't help but want them to work it all out.
As per usual Lindsey had me laughing, crying and wanting to cover my eyes with stress. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to see what Lindsey brings us next.
I loved how it is written in both points of view of Liv and Adam. It adds a new dynamic to the story to know what each is thinking and how the situations are seen through each others eyes.
The thing I enjoyed most about We Were on a Break is how easy it explains how situations get misunderstood depending on how you lool at it. The big thing in this story is how the characters are all so quick to jump to conclusions and how stories getting twisted in an individual version.
Lindsey is always good at writing fun characters that are easy to relate to and that's definitely the case here. I think alot of readers will resonate with Liv and how she feels her life has gotten away on her. The male leads are always to die for and Adam also falls into this catergory although he is very likeable and adds a good comedic value.
I did find it was a little frustrating at times! I really just wanted to bang their heads together.
Overall I enjoyed the story and would highly recommend to anyone wanting something slightly different to the girl meets boy type of story.
The start was very good and funny but the middle seemed drawn out and I found it boring in most places, although I did have the odd chuckle but that was it. The ending was good but for me it didn't really make up for the middle.
