I was quite disappointed with this product. I really only needed one bag, but bought the multi-pack because it had good ratings. The product description states that it has a quality heavy duty zipper. The first time that I used these garment bags, the zipper came off under normal use. I had the bag hanging on the door while I changed and put my suit back into the bag. I went to go zip the bag up and the zipper was nowhere to be found. The zipper itself is very low quality, not anywhere close to heavy duty. On top of that, there is no stop on the zipper. Most zipper, such as the one on a coat have a piece of plastic or metal at the bottom of the zipper to prevent the zipper from coming off when you are unzipping and reach the bottom of the zipper. This product does not have anything like that, so you have to be extra careful when unzipping the garment bag or you end up losing a zipper like I did.
The bags are nicely assembled and look very nice. The opening for the hanger to pass through is large enough, but stays closed to prevent dust from entering. The bag is fabricated with nylon zipper teeth. Those teeth are adequate for home use, but I would be reluctant to send it through with my checked baggage. One feature to think about is the location of the viewing window versus where the bag will be hanging. The large window is clear and does a nice job but only covers half of the bag. Ideally, you want that window to be located close to you, not on the back side of the closet. My suits hang on the left side of the closet with the zipper oriented toward the center of the closet. This positions the window on the back side of the closet. Moving the suits to the right side of the closet would solve this problem, but, for a variety of reasons is not an option for me. Just something to consider. Would I buy these bags again, absolutely - if the window were on the left side of the bag.
These are a must for anyone OCD like me. Keeps the garments (Jackets, Suits, Etc) dust free and clean. I notice build up on the outsides of these, but that's exactly what they are for. To get the dust on these instead of the garment inside them. Now when I grab one of my rarely used suits, it's clean when I need it.
I own several suits but don't wear them very often. So usually when I pull a suit out of the closet I have to spend a few minutes brushing the dust off the shoulders. Not anymore. These covers are great quality and protect my suits. There is even a little window so I can see what suit is inside without having to open the bag.
Zippers are heavy-duty. Window is a nice touch. I bought this pack because I was going on a trip where I need to bring 5 suits with me. The luggage was the more difficult part, but these helped keep things separate. They do a better job than bags I've had in the past, since the hole the hanger goes through collapses to be relatively small. Most importantly, they're pretty durable. I've flown with a suit in hand as carry on quite a bit, and it's resulted in a lot of holes and tearing in my garment bags. This one held up well and I can imagine it will last a long time. The grommet to help fold it in half was a good touch too.
I have bought many suit cover and so far I like this the most. The size is perfect. The "see-through" window is huge so that you don't have to open the bag to see what's inside. It also comes with a tag pocket so you can put notes (for those who have multiple suits) or name tags.
One tiny problem I can see...if you are size 46 or over, this cover MAY be a bit small?
