This is the second mattress I have purchased from Zinus and I am just as happy this time as I was the first go around.
The package did not arrive the day it said it would, but when I contacted Zinus they sorted the issue immediately. I found them easy to deal with.
The mattress fully expanded (all 12 inches) in less than 8 hours. I left it in a bright sunny room and closed the door to trap the heat inside. It probably helped that it's summer time, as the mattress expands better in the heat. I did notice some of the corners were slower to expand and also felt stiffer to the touch, so I massaged those corners a bit to encourage things along. That seemed to work and the thickness of mattress is even all the way around.
As for the smell, there was a very minor smell. However, if it were not for the reviews on here I probably wouldn't have even noticed it. I did leave my window open all day just in case.
The mattress is really comfortable. In my opinion, it is plush--soft but firm is a great way to describe it. So far I have no complaints. It's a great value if you get a good one... but like I said, this is the second one that I've bought and they are both great. My sister loves hers too.
