Delivery was quick. It was very easy to assemble and feels fairly sturdy.
However, because of the height it doesn’t make sense that you’d need a box spring. But the slats are really thin, so when you place the mattress straight on top, you can feel them through the mattress (my mattress is 12 inches) and the pressure damages the underside of the mattress. There is no groove along the border of the frame for the mattress to sit in. There’s just double sided tape that you’re meant to put between frame and mattress. I felt that was a joke. You can’t even lift the mattress to tuck sheets under—otherwise you’re constantly tugging at the tape. I had to get a large piece of plywood and manufacture a solution, but with no groove around the frame you can see the plywood between the frame and mattress.
I would recommend buying one of the other bed frames from zinus that has the wooden slats. I’m disappointed with the design of this one. I’ve bought several Zinus products and this was my first disappointment.
