Restart your Echo device and network hardware
You can restart your Echo device, Internet modem, and/or router to resolve most Wi-Fi issues. Turn off your router and modem, and then wait 30 seconds. Turn on your modem, and then wait for it to restart.

I never had a first or second generation Echo dot, so I’m not sure about whether you have to re-set up your devices that you have connected to Echo plus if you buy a 3rd gen dot.

1. Open the Alexa smartphone app.
2. Tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
3. Tap on Settings.
4. Scroll down to the General section.
5. Tap on the new Alexa Voice Responses menu.
6. Switch Brief Mode on or off by tapping the toggle switch. See less
