Keep the kids entertained this school holidays

When the kids are going to be home all day, you may be wondering what to do with all that time. Never fear, your mate Alexa is here! I can help you keep things fun and organise some of the chaos.

Boredom busters!

Everyone getting a bit restless? I’ve got you covered! Give these a go:

“Alexa, do something silly”
“Alexa, I’m bored”
“Alexa, tell me a story”
“Alexa, tell me a joke”
“Alexa, sing me a song”
“Alexa, do a party trick”
“Alexa, who farted?”
“Alexa, give me a fun quiz”
“Alexa, what can I learn today?”

I can also help stave off the sillies and burn all that excess energy with a dance party – complete with DJ requests! You can let the kids take turns asking me to play their favourite tracks, or I can play DJ for you. Just say: “Alexa, play kids’ party music”

Or, if you have curious kids who love to learn, check out the Brains On! podcast, which answers one curious kid’s question each week. It’s sure to become a firm family favourite! “Alexa, play the podcast Brains On!”

Have some fun!

My wide range of kids’ skills are sure to provide hours of entertainment!

Check out Nickelodeon’s brand-new Blue’s Clues and You! skill. Preschoolers will love these fun-filled, clue-led adventures with beloved puppy, Blue, and her affable owner, Josh. To get started just say, "Alexa, open Blue's Clues".

To join Errol the Frog to read, sing and play, ask, “Alexa, open First 5 Forever".

Escape to the wizard world and test your knowledge! Try saying, “Alexa, play Harry Potter quiz". Enjoy patty-flippin’ fun with Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob Challenge memory game. Try saying “Alexa, open SpongeBob Challenge".

Or step into an adventure as a pirate. Try saying, “Alexa, open Pirate Island".

Keep things organised

Give yourself a break – let me stay on top of things around the house so the school holidays run smoothly!

I can help you make important announcements to the whole house. Try: “Alexa, tell everyone we’re leaving soon!”

Ask me to set an alarm to wake the kids up with their favourite music, or for when you’ll need to go pick up the kids from an activity. “Alexa, set an alarm for…”

I can also set timers for reading time or screen time. “Alexa, set a timer for…”

Want to add playdates to your calendar? “Alexa, add a playdate with Jack to the calendar on…”

Finally, be prepared! Find out if you’ll need a coat or a brolly on your family outing day – just ask me about the weather.

“Alexa, what’s the weather tomorrow/tonight/this weekend?”
“Alexa, will it rain tomorrow?”
“Alexa, what’s the wind chill?”
