Customer Review

I adored the other books in this series but this one just fell a little down for me. The characters didn’t come alive, I really couldn’t get a feel for them and had to keep reminding me which was which. ‘Oh yeah Alex is the physics one. Theo is Pax’s brother’. I think it was the first book, Rocket Science, which had Elijah observing that Alex and Theo were really alike. Which is fine in a secondary character, but they’re elevated to MCs in this book and I’m not sure the author herself had a clear idea about who they were. Honestly at any given time any of the lines of dialogue could have been swapped between them without any feeling of dissonance. The story itself felt slow and meandering - I struggled to get invested. I’d highly recommend the first two books. This one I could live without.
