Light weight and clean air

I suffer from hayfever even in my own sealed room. This Arovec AV-P152PRO air purifier has a lot of stellar qualities. It has true HEPA filter and activated carbon filter, light weight at 3kg, convenient to carry to other rooms, energy efficient at 23watts vs other brands that require 65-80watts. I use this overnight and it's very quiet on auto or low fan. It does a good job of giving me clean air all the time, no more sneezing or runny nose in the room! Affordable filter replacement at $60. It has all the functions I need - fan levels, auto mode, timer, filter indicator and air quality sensor. This air purifier is able to do 4.5 air changes per hour for my room size of 55 cubic meters. Highly recommended.

Budget option with sub-standard performance

Ok’ish and quiet performer. If you need a good quality purifier then look elsewhere. The auto mode in this model is shocking. I turned this new unit on and sprayed glen20 in the room. This unit picked up particles, led turned red for a minute before turning back to blue indicating that air quality was good. I, however, could feel the strong fragrance in the air and it was quiet irritating. I then plugged my philips purifier right next to it and it not only picked up the poor air quality (as you can see in the photo) but also worked hard in auto mode to clear the room off particles from aerosol. 5 mins later, the air was noticeably fresh with significantly reduced quantity of irritating fragrance. This is a basic operation I was expecting from my new arovec unit but it failed me. After 6hrs of usage, I’ve already logged a return request with amazon who’ve been happy to accept it.

Please note that this is not a fair comparison of an expensive philips unit with this cheaper arovec, but only a review to highlight that it isn’t a set and forget automatic unit. I am sure if I had manually turned the fan to high for next 20-30 mins, it would have cleared the aerosol. But I expected a little more than this with a new $250 local Australian product. I would not recommend this if you need a good performing air purifier. I’d look at spending another $100 and get a better performing unit.

Upon arriving the delivery driver threw the box on the ground. I contacted amazon to provide my feedback. The air purifier suffered the course of the delivery and produced a slight metallic ticking noise when the fan was on; I contacted Arovec directly. They advised me to send them a video of the issue & to snip the cord so they could send me a new one. Their responses were fast and courteous and my replacement unit is on its way! I’m very happy with their customer service. The purifier comes with 1 year warranty but you can increase it to 2 years by signing up with their website. I used the purifier for a few days before I snipped the cord as my hay fever had been playing up and the machine definitely works for me (sneezing 20 times in a row vs no sneezes at all).

Worked with smoke. Reduced but not eliminated dust

I used it for more than a month now. It collects fair a bit of dust (visible on the filter). It quite sensitive with smoke and does speed up when I burnt something in the oven. I let it run 24/7 in auto mode but lots of dust still settled on my desk which is only 2m away (we vacuum the room almost everyday). Dust settled right on the control panel as well. I guess the auto mode isn't strong enough. I certainly don't want to use higher speed mode while sitting next to it all day long due to the noise. It's not that bad but noticeable in a quiet place. I can't compare to other make/model. They are pretty much similar I guess. Can't expect these small fans to suck in all the air in the room but they help somehow.

I enjoy my purifier it has benefited my health tremendously. I've had it for over 6months and I'm so glad that I made the purchase. I've always had terrible allergies and asthma. I also suffer from a low immune system so this just comes in handy. I noticed improvement the 1st night after using it. My nose wasn't as stuffy or congested. At the time, I had a dog and a hedgehog. The dog was an elderly Yorkshire terrier. This really did the job by filtering the air and cleansing the impurities. When it was time to change the filter I noticed that it was pretty yucky and I'd like to think I keep my house clean. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who suffers from allergies or just has severe health problems as I do.

This unity is very easy to get started, little need to read the manual at first, as two little one page brochures tell you how to set it up and choose your initial settings. It is simply a 3 to 4 minute task.
I found it made a significant difference to my pollen allergy in the office, which is about 100sqm but is fully sealed if required. Even though somewhat larger than the unit is designed for, it made a real difference within about 24 hours of turning it on, with my continual nose dribble during what has been a very windy season so far. i.e The wind really stirs up the pollen count. First class result as far as I am concerned. Only negative is the filters are unlikely to give the suggested 6 months service unless you carefully give them a regular dust removal with your vacuum cleaner.

Hard to tell how effective these are without testing the air for particles, but when he visits my eldest son's cat allergy doesn't bother him as much since we bought a few of these - one in the living room, one in the guest bedroom, one in the dining room. When left on automatic you can barely hear it, but in the sun you can see the dust moats floating towards it. It's noisier when put on full blast, but it moves a lot of air when you do that. I'm happy with these filters.

Works perfectly. The noise level in night mode is so low I barely notice it at all, and can't hear it if the ceiling fan is on.
Lights change colour depending on air quality, but can be turned off which is great for night time use.

I tested the air purifier by dusting something near by and also by shaking out an old throw that always gives off particles after being washed and dried, and the purifier picked up on both and changed colour and speed to deal with the impurities in the air.

I'm happy with the purchase.
