Great pants, like original Prana Halles

I LOVE the new straight cut Halle pants. If you've never worn Halle pants before, they are wonderful and also come in a relaxed fit. I've had my original Halle's for about three years, wear them at least once a week, and they look brand new. The material is durable and comfortable and the pants have a lot of features (pockets!) that make them very practical.
The straight fit Halle's seem to be equally durable and practical. I've already taken to wearing them multiple times a week. Going from the same size (10 short) relaxed fit Halle's to these, I'd say these are somewhat shorter than I'd like and ride lower on my hips, so I have to be sure to tie the waist band tightly to not hang out when sitting. However, they also look nicer and are more fitted. I've taken to wearing them rolled at the cuff and they work perfectly like that.

I'm a Prana Halle junkie. I've worn the regular style for years (I have 5 pair) and I thought I'd try this cut. I was a little concerned that they might be tight in the thighs, but they fit perfectly. I bought a second pair. I generally wear a 4 or 6 in pants, but the 4 fit perfectly. I love the fabric Prana uses in the Halle pants - it's a quick-drying synthetic that has enough weight not to cling and for some reason isn't a hot as other synthetic pants. I find that I can wear them on long scambling hikes and they don't abrade and yet the style is nice enough to wear to dinner when traveling. They have snaps and tabs for rolling up to a below-the-knee capri length.

I ordered 3 pairs... 1) Black - I ordered the short inseam and they sent me the regular. 2) Coal- Was returned to sender before it even shipped. 3) Chai - Couldnt possibly love these more. Perfect inseam for my short 5'2" frame. I ordered the 2 short which was my normal size. They are very comfortable and the fabric has a nice stretchy feel while moving around, yet hold their shape throughout the day. Chai is a beautiful muted color that pairs nicely with black, white, gray, cream, green, and teal.
Super bummed about the pairs that didnt work out since they are now both $30 more than what I originally paid. The pants themselves get 5 stars, the hassle with my orders and missing out on the other pants brings it down to 3 stars.

I bought these pants because I already owned the Halle - regular, regular inseam. Which are also amazing, but a little long for me (I'm 5'2). When I looked for the pants on Amazon, I was excited to see there was a straight leg version as well as a short inseam option. These are perfect. They're stretchy, they're thick enough that I can wear them climbing and I don't get scratched up, but they look put together enough that I often wear them to the office too. The straight leg is a nice touch, the bootleg cut on the regular Halle's makes me feel a little stumpy, as does the length. I don't have to roll these up at all! I'm obsessed and already have another color in my cart (so that'll be three Prana Halle's that I own - you really can't go wrong!) I will say, another commenter mentioned the internal drawstring. It does take some getting used to, but I actually really like the internal draw string! It doesn't add bulk like a belt or a regular draw string would, and it's easy to get the pants to stay right where you want them on your hips, whether that's higher or lower. Sometimes the drawstring get's stuck in the zipper though but that's usually an easy fix.

I live by this brand, I have these exact pants in two colors because they are so durable, lightweight. Protect you from the elements while being breathable. 10/10 recommend.
