I bought this because Jassy came to a gin tasting and, naturally talked about GIN so I got the book and I'm very pleased I did. She covers the history and also the different types or styles of gin, which despite having been drinking the stuff for decades was something I'd never understood before. Then she gives lots of great recipes for cocktails and party drinks using gin. Proper, detailed, recipes with tips on technique; not the usual cryptic shorthand of bartenders' recipes.
I got the Kindle edition, it has been well Kindled, all the lovely illustrations remaining and hyperlinks in the right places
Sadly I didn't really enjoy this book. I didn't find the jokes all that funny. The history took up ten pages which I found to be a very long intro. It doesn't really help that I'm a beginner and don't know where I would find the ingredients. I feel like there are better books how to make gin out there.
