I bought this book mostly because the princess is using an actual toilet as we skipped the potty part and I wanted a book that showed a kid on an actual toilet for my daughter to relate to. But I ended up not using it. I think I read it to her once only. It's just way too princessy - and poop is poop, I wanted my daughter to go knowing that it being stinky etc was just normal and ok.
It comes with stickers and a crown. I personally think that giving a child extrinsic rewards for going potty sets up the wrong motivation for such an important life skill. And anyway, it's a developmental milestone like walking - nobody gives stickers for walking. But if you are going that route - then you will have stickers and a crown.
The quality of the book is fine and the illustrations nice. The story just wasn't for us.
I was very disappointed, book was grossly used and missing stickers and the crown, in a time of pandemic I’m very confused as to why there would be such a low quality check. Money was refunded and thank you but my daughter refuses to use the potty for a week now because I had to make the boom disappear as it was absolutely gross and she actually liked it. Huge huge fail.
This might be a good book but we will never know. Our copy came completely misprinted. Opened the cover and to our surprise we were on page 7. Good thing the kids liked the pictures on that page because page 7 appeared three more times on he book! While we have no idea how the story starts, we are experts on pages 7-14 because they are featured three times in our copy.
The kids were really disappointed but amused by the oddities of a misprinted story. Better luck to others who order this story!
My daughter, 2 years and 11 months old, wasn't interested in this book at all. This book won't work for those who aren't that into princesses. The story is boring, nothing quite special other than the fact that a princess uses a potty.
