We're both a little cynical of diets and this seemed to be more educational rather than strict. The book showed up pretty soon after we ordered it and we read through it within a few days. It's simple to understand, has some encouraging anecdotes from clients and lays out your daily menu for the first 20 days. We've been on it now for just over 10 days and I've lost 9lbs while my wife has lost 5lbs. It's all about food choices and what works for you as an individual, not working out like a maniac and starving yourself. This is not a fad, it's a lifestyle choice. Would recommend this book without hesitation.
I have been struggling with weight gain, gas and bloating for 10 years now. I suspected there were foods that I shouldn't be eating but could not single them out. This plan is helping me to do exactly that! Plus I've lost 6 lbs in the first 5 days! And my husband has lost 8. I have no bloating and feel so much better. (Still some gas but eating all the veggies will do that!) The only negative so far is that there's a lot of food prep and cooking, which I don't love, but it is worth it to figure out what's not working for me. If you're fed up with gaining weight you can't lose, tried every diet on the planet, feel like crap, then I recommend this plan.
Both my girlfriend and I found this book to be incredible. Made the most sense of any diet I have ever seen. I lost ten pounds without hardly trying and in only a few short days. It finally answered how I have been able to eat so many candy bars over the last two years and not gain weight! What or how much you eat makes no difference. It is about finding the foods that negatively react to your body and eliminating them. Often those negatively reacting foods are not what you would think. I would say this is the most valuable diet book I have ever read. It allows you to effortless do testing on yourself and and get incredible results.
Don't get too anxious to start on it though and do the preparation she suggests. We hurried and then after getting so far wished we had picked up a better scale, taken better notes and did more of the food prep she recommends. I found this to be the last diet book I will ever have to read. You will too so take the extra effort up front. Once you figure out all your "bad" foods you are done. You never have to worry about food, diets, calories, fats, portions, etc again. Finally, after all these years you will have your life back again!!! After that do yourself a favor and go burn all your old diet books! Then buy a friend you know this one and let the fun expand.
I have lost 8 lbs in the first week. I have reduce inflammation in all joints, and muscles are not as tense. I have tested food, and got through it. I bought the kindle version as well as the book. Very delicious recipes, as a bonus. Some of the stuff is not what I have had, but what I have was apparently wrong for me. We are all different and will react to foods differently. This process takes the guessing game out of what does not agree with you. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose except weight, and all to gain with no inflammation.
The book has a very realistic and scientifically documented approach on "how human bodies react to food". The author has a lot of practical experience on the concepts presented in the book. This book is not a fantasy, it is a "bible" for someone who wants to be healthy and have a long life, irrespective of how many pounds have to lost in order to look good.
