I have many varied interests and I believe in respecting EVERYONE'S beliefs. I never knew anything about witchcraft and thought I'd look at what it was. It's all very natural earth bound beliefs about how everything is connected. Anyone who needs help reconnecting to nature around them or has to learn how to respect it should look into this sort of knowledge. I've always loved nature and given respect to it (especially animals)- all of these books just remind me of that connection and love I have. Also reminds you that you get out of life what you put into it - treat everything in life with love and kindness. Honesty. Its always the best policy and it is the right thing to do. There is a saying about karma....! Anyone worried about witchcraft, books, Lenormand cards, tarot, spells, etc. They are pictures. Art. Candles, polished rocks, scented oils, words. Things that give one perspective and comfort similar to going to church. Nothing to fear, nothing to judge. I'm so happy to have learned something new, and to have brushed up on things I always knew to be true. Good read, interesting, may not be for everyone - keep an open mind.
Although I enjoy the concept and the learning, this book is very poorly edited. There are many spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and misplaced words on almost every page. Some points, I'm not sure what the author is trying to say
On page 41 of this book it says, "Wicca is all about the individual and what they feel most comfortable practicing and believing." Ok! That's true. And I would like to shared some light into this practice. I found a lot of things wrong with this practice. The first thing I want to point out first, every one has it wrong. When you talk about the 5 elements. You don't include the spirit. That is not an element. You have to go back to what that Holy Bible says. God made a man and woman from the elements of the Earth. And than, God put his spirit onto his creation. So, what this means, is that you need to have 5 elements to evoke the spirits. You are one element short from evoking the spirit. So, let me break it down for you. The 5 elements are: 1) Earth 2) Water 3) Air 4) Fire and 5) Metal. People, how can you mist that? The Holy Bible says that human beings were made from the elements of metal. You have to replace the metal element with the spirit element, because that is the element of the building blocks of your human DNA structure. Make sense? =) Next! The Sabbath calendar is all wrong. You have attached the zodiac signs spirits with the Sabbath Goddess and Gods of the wheel of the year spirits. You cannot evoke any spirits that doesn't have a home. Meaning, that doesn't have a spirit realm. For example, Heaven, Purgatory and Hell. Because you're going to attract evil demons instead. And not totem element spirits of the Earth. If baseball cards has a photo album book with plastic pockets for protection. That's what I mean. When you have to attached your astrology stars spirits with the wheel of the year of the Sabbath spirits. And this book does not teach you how to do that. This is why I'm rating this book a 3 stars. Because I'm going to re-write this book, and write my own version of a more advance practice of magic rituals. And include new add-ons magic rituals that are written in this book. But the History of Wicca and Witches, was a good read. =)
The author obviously ran this through spell check and never looked at it again. Words are missing, wrong words are used (like spell check substituted a word). The attitude from the author was less than enthusiastic. Would not reccomend this publication.
The contents are awesome but it took quite a few tries to get this book to arrive - also the design of the cover is so cool it would be nice if it was a hardcover instead, gave a two for delivery would have gotten a 4 if delivery was not the issue
