1.0 out of 5 stars 32C not True to sizing...waaay too small.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 July 2020
Size: 32CColour: Black/SilverVerified Purchase
I don't usually write reviews, but regarding this product in terms of sizing, the item sizing seems totally off the mark! Ordered 32C and I would say sizing was more like a 28B! Way way too small! The band does not even fit across the chest, impossible for clasp to meet. The cup size is way too small and narrow. My boobs were literally squished in all over the place and spilling out at the sides and top. Not enough fabric to protect and cup the whole breadth of the breast. Not comfortable or fit for purpose. I have always used 'shock absorbers' for running and they have always been be brilliant. Support in the right places, good contact, comfortable no bounce and pain free especially near monthly cycle where Betty Boo feels a little on the sore and tender side. Description advises order your regular normal size which I did and it's fair to say 'shock absorber' sizing is way off the mark. Very disappointed. I usually buy bras from M&S, JL and my usual 32c no matter where I buy have always fit. I hope the images supplied will help with your decision about purchasing this product. I did read reviews before purchasing and positive seemed to out weigh the negatives. Maybe, I got a faulty garment that slipped through quality control? It was promptly returned!

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible

1.) Sizing is way off. As you can see, it is barely across my back. I ordered the correct size for me, 34 DD. I double checked my own measurements initially in case I'd changed sizes (I hadn't), and then I measured the product itself. The band is just under 25inches, with next to no stretch. This is roughly 4 inches wider than my 2 year olds chest, and would actually be one of the smallest UK band sizes.
2.) Even if it had fit, there's several issues with the cups themselves. They're far too large. While pregnant, I had to wear an F cup. I would say the cups on this sports bra were a similar size to the cups on my maternity bra. The centre 'V' thats supposed to sit snug to your chest (note, I am a runner, hence why I even bought this product) is nothing more than a sewn on decorative line, meaning that this isn't actually a shock absorbing sports bra as it doesn't sit against your chest. If you were to run using this, I expect it wouldn't support your movement at all, and for a chesty women like me I 100% need that support.

All in all, I've had significantly cheaper sports bras that offer far better support than this one. And for beginners looking for start up equipment, I can imagine that having the sizing be this far off could be really demoralising.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broken after two wears!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 July 2016
Size: 38BColour: Black/SilverVerified Purchase
I was initially so happy with the fit and feel of this bra. But after wearing it twice the seam at the back strap is coming apart. I don't know if I can return it after having worn it and have no idea how to get in touch with customer service! Very disappointing as I have had Shock Absorber bras before and was therefore willing to pay a bit extra.

1.0 out of 5 stars several sizes too small

I'm normally a 38 inch chest and have been measured and wearing a38 bra for years. However it was impossible to do this up. Husband had to put his knee in my back to do it up. When he'd eventually managed it I couldn't breathe. How is one supposed to run in this thing? There was no advice to order 3 sizes bigger than normal size. Hugely disappointed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sizing is completely off, hard to get on and then uncomfortable
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 June 2021
Size: 30GColour: Black/SilverVerified Purchase
The sizing is completely off, i think SA need to recall these bras as they dont appear to have used any QA. I normally wear a 30F bra, my ribcage (under bust measurement) measures 29inches. As you can see from the picture the 30F Shock Absorber ultimate run bra only measures 21 inch band size and 26 inch at full stretch ie i couldnt do it up. I exchanged it for a 32F which came very quickly. The band is 24 inch and stretches to fit but only just, however the cup was too big. It is also a pain to get on, and once on i didnt feel comfortable in it as it was digging in around the arm pits. I wouldnt recommend this style at all, i will stick with the SA high impact bra which is comfortable and comes in the size you would expect

1.0 out of 5 stars Dreadful customer service from shock absorber - would put me off buying for them again
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 July 2014
Size: 38DColour: WhiteVerified Purchase
I bought this bra , wore it for about 8 weeks and one of the hooks on the fastener broke off making it completely unusable , spent a month trying to get a response from shock absorber contacting them via their website and Facebook page only to be completely ignored - I find this sort of service is totally unacceptable and is enough to put me off ever buying more of their product.
I would say the bra was good but I don't think the quality is worthy of the price tag and a company who is totally disinterested in supporting their product when it fails should not be supported by consumers buying the old toot ! Amazon refunded me and sorted the problem as efficiently as they always do despite item being beyond the return window - good ol amazon , horrible ol shock absorber .

1.0 out of 5 stars 10 inches shorter than it should be

I ordered a 32E size. When arrived I just knew it wasn’t a 32 size. I measured against other bras including sports bras it was no where near same size. I got tape measure out it was 24 inches in total!!!! The cups were no way going to fit a E cup. With no give at all it was never going to fit my 32inch frame! I checked the label and it stated 32E! I’ve returned mine I highly suggest you by at least one size bigger than suggest if you buy this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Chocolate Teapot...
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 May 2018

Not usually so scathing in my reviews but am really struggling to find a well-fitting sports bra. This was too small in the cup, round the body, and the adjustable straps weren't long enough (in longest possible position). This is the second sports bra I've tried with this problem (last one I tried came from John Lewis and had to be returned too). Will keep looking ... my old one is wearable but needs replacing. Good luck to everyone else struggling like me!

Bought as my last shock absorber bra was amazing. This one came in at 9” smaller that advertised and labelled. In case you’re wondering whether it has enough stretch to bridge that… sadly not. Unsurprisingly I’ve initiated a refund, and now I don’t feel it’d be wise to order another as the sizing is clearly up the spout.

Material looks good but can't comment on anything else because it is tiny! It's no where close to the right size. I wouldn't trust a brand that can't even measure 30" correctly! A 30F came up about a 24D
