This is one of the best support bras I’ve worn. I have thought of buying a Shock Absorber sports bra for a very long time. I often doubt what many of these brands say when it comes to full busted women. They simply don’t cater sufficiently to women like me. I run and I’m a 34 F. I read the reviews and bought a 36 E and it was spot on. I like the Racerback clip for added support. I never unclip it, just put it over my head. I’ve washed it a few times and so far the material appears as though it will hold up. Delivery was good. The price could be a little more affordable and I wished the full range of colours could have been available for my size. I got a black. It’s something I would consider getting a second but in a different colour.
If you are a bigger chest size woman I highly recommend this for you. Don't fool yourself by going for something smaller size. I was blessed with a bigger set of boobs. And It is hard for me to feel comfortable and have the right support with a normal sports bra. I use this bra for the gym, hiking when I go for my runs. This bra supports you in all the right places, It pushes your boobs up and in. No sore shoulder straps. I like that you can choose to have the bra strap as an X or normal shoulder strap. I don't have any sore shoulders where the strap is digging in. This bra is good as you don't get stuck midway when you try to get it off after a sweaty session. The material is light and quick to dry.
The quality is very good, and the boobies are definitely not moving anywhere in this, so it does the job!
However, it IS tight around the under-bust area, although it doesn't really compress the actual boobs, which is clever. All my other sports bras seem to use the method of just squishing 'em down flat, which aside from looking weird, doesn't work that well once the bra has been washed a few million times. This one is perfect for running when I really need there to be no jiggling - and maybe if I lose a few pounds it'll be a better fit! I am a consistent 34C in normal bras and still think 36 may have been too big here, but I may order another one in a 36B to test out this theory. If you' have larger breasts, or think you might be kind of between under-bust measurements, then (as other reviewers have said) consider going up one in inches and down one in cup size from your usual bra size.
The Shock Absorber is still the best in the market and I haven't found any sports bra as well made and comfortable as this. Unfortunately this time though is 1 star less because it provides less support than my previous Shock absorbers bras when it comes to high-impact activities such as running and jumping. The previous types had virtually no bouncing. Size is accurate I would say, I am normally a 38E and I went for 38DD which is very similar.
This is one of the best sports bras I have ever owned. With a large chest it and small back I have struggled to get the right support to use when running. This is ideal although slightly small than I expected in the cup therefore only giving 4 stars today. Washes well and holds firm even when sprinting.
As others have said, size up. I've tried my regular size and it's too small. I'm a 36 and 38 fit perfectly. It's amazing for holding everything in place, no bounce while running- BUT the top clip opened up on a run. Also fiddly to fasten the clasp when wearing it. This is a brilliant yet temperamental genius bra.
It's a good bra, I was sceptical after reading some reviews but was pleasantly surprised, I bought my normal size and it fit perfect! Tbh a little pricey for me so I'd probably only buy another one if it goes on sale, but definitley did the job, if you have a larger chest - I'm normally a 38C - then this is perfect, it's the only thing that stopped my boobs bouncing all over the place when I'm running
Very comfortable running bra, wouldn't know you had it on. That's a first for me! The band as others have said is quite small fitting, so definitely go up a size from what you normally wear. The top clip on back is quite difficult to fasten. Anyone with any kind of restricted movement in their arms/ shoulder/neck would certainly struggle with it. Other than that it's a fantastic buy, and half the price it was in the sports shop where I originally tried it out for size.
I bought a 32F so that it was a little tighter in the chest, which I figured would give me a little more support (I've needed to do this in the past). When it arrived, I could see the quality of this was fantastic - however, when I tried it on, the actual band is far too tight, to the point that it hurts my ribs - and there's no give so it becomes really restricting. I am a true 32 band, so I would recommend a size looser to ensure that you can work out comfortably. The cups were okay, but again I am a true G cup and I don't think I needed to go down a size as it would have fit okay - the cups weren't horrendous though.
The only bad point about this, other than the band being very tight, is that the racer back clip is so hard to do up by yourself! However, once you've struggled for 15 mins to do it up (or someone nice has helped you), it offers a nice bit of extra support.
Excellent fit, great support for the slightly above average bust. Probably not great if you're above an E. The straps are strong, although the plastic bit on the back sometimes twists out of line. The colour over time has faded to more of an off white, I guess this is to be expected of gym clothing.
