I was given a set in 2010. Recently I ordered these replacement glasses as several had broken overtime. unfortunately, whilst the handle is the same, the actual glass that fits inside is much thinner and a little smaller. it doesn't 'snap' the glass into metal. it doesn't lock in. They are OK, not as nice. They arrived quickly and without fuss.
Whilst this mug has a lovely shape It is very heavy I usually buy fine bone china so because of price thought this would compare favourably as I liked the look of it Sadly it dosen't other than paying for the shape this mug is very overpriced won't return as too much trouble but can say I will not be using due to it being too heavy
This is really a beautiful mug/cup that is almost a work of art in the way the manufacturer has designed the sweep of the handle and the way the handle integrates with the body. It feels great in the hand, really ergonomic if that can be said, and is pleasant to hold. The porcelain is lovely quality, with that thinness and lightness that is also very strong, which only comes with really good china or porcelain. The drawbacks I would note are that it is small--does not hold very much so more of a smallish cup than a mug if you are a mug person. The way the cup is shaped at the top makes it really easy to overfill with your liquid of choice so there is a lot of spillage--the smallness of the cup leads to the temptation to overfill but then it spills over because the stopping point at the top is made unclear by the irregular width of the handle at the top. Thirdly and most importantly, the narrowness of the bottom 1/3 to 1/2 of the cup means it is very susceptible to getting knocked over; it does not have the structural stability you get with a cup/glass/mug that has a weighted or heavier bottom, so it tips over easily and the light weight makes it even more easy to knock over--the material it is made from is not substantial enough to make it resist a sideways knock at all either. I still love it but it is not a very practical cup at all--pretty but not the best daily practical drinking cup. Might make a nice gift as it is impressive in looks and comes in a nice coordinated box, and the travel tie-in is very appealing..ADDENDUM FROM 2 DAYS LATER: Already broken so apparently it is not made from the strong kind of porcelain as I had thought--broke very easily at the slightest provocation. Part of me wants to get another one but I also feel like I will just be throwing good money after bad.
