Very well written and an easy read. Didn’t find any segment boring and most segments rather exciting. Yes, you could see factors of other similar type genre but it was still different enough to keep your interest & enjoyment. It deserved the 5 stars because it kept me enchanted throughout the three books which was my fulfilling reward each night, my addiction growing with each book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this fantasy, adventure saga. It had all the elements of a great story. Those elements in just the right balance. Sometimes writers gloss over one aspect of a story at to pursue something else. Christopher Paolini tells the whole story and manages to keep it interesting. I particularly love the way he delves into lore (either Dragon, Elvish, Dwarven, or any of the other races) and manages to keep it interesting. The action scenes are well done too. He keeps the battles fast and rarely rambles on with the technique of fighting. I also like the idea that Paolini has involved Roran, Eragon's cousin, in the story as someone who fights without magic. Almost to show that battles can be won without it. Though, killing nearly two hundred soldiers single handed. Then to be punished by receiving fifty lashes for insubordination is a bit of a stretch. On the whole though, I really enjoyed this yarn.
