Bought this so it would'nt rust. Instead it just snapped off at the base after a week or so. Good design, may'be I was just unlucky. Could'nt be bothered to send back or contact the seller although I should have. In all dissapointed.
I really liked the look of this soap dispenser because I've got vintage chrome accents in my bathroom, but it only lasted a few months. First, the outside started getting these weird stains, almost like rust. Those were easy enough to wipe off, but they kept coming back. Then one day the soap just came out with an orange rusty color to it. It was pretty gross, and I ended up throwing it away.
I bought two of these items back in April of 2014, and have been regretting it. Everything was fine for about the first month, but then I started noticing that both of these things leave rust rings all over my kitchen and bathroom sinks. The metal has begun to rust away around the center of each pump, basically anywhere the liquid soap has touched. It seems my liquid soap is starting to corrode the metal and sometimes blocks the pump head by forming a hardened film. Note my liquid soap is just the Soft soap brand refill bottles that you can pickup in any store. It seems like a nice product at first but then the flaws begin to show up, do yourself a favor and buy something of higher quality or in plastic.
This stand is very nice, but the top (where it has the four holes) can easily be bent and, thus, has high chances of falling apart. This happened to mine after 3 months of use. If you know how to weld or stick two pieces of metal together, then definitely buy this and fix it when it happens, otherwise do not buy it. It's nice design does not make up for its short life.
