I bought these believing they would be the same as a previous purchase. They were slightly different in little ways. They didn’t fit the same, had more Velcro and the biggest thing was they didn’t have the cell phone pocket.I chose a different colour from the same page that I purchased my first pair, expecting the exact same shorts as my first pair. Sent back and reordered from another page.
I typically wear a 34 in every other pair of pants I own but sized up (36) as any time I've had Lee branded anything it's small. Even sized up these are too tight so maybe I just got an off pair but you'll most likely want to size up at least one.
I had these shorts a little over three months, appropriately sized and fit well. Went to lean over and pick up my phone and a massive tear went right down the front side from top to bottom. It was very strange, never had shorts tear that easy. Great while they lasted
Advertised inseam length is 11.5", and the picture shows the shorts coming almost to the knee. The ones I received weren't even close to that - the measured inseam was just over 10" and they ended up way above my knee. I sent them back for a refund. Too bad because other than that they were nice shorts.
34W is a little snug, and they haven't even been washed yet. Even the belt that comes with it is barely long enough, making it more troublesome to use. Unfortunately, it's not available in 35W. Otherwise, length is fine, the fabric is fine, and I like the plastic buttons and velcro closures. For a comparison, the Levis cargos (both Ace & Squad) are a good roomy fit.
These run somewhat small and the fabric is rather thin. I've purchased far better cargo shorts at Old Navy. Overall, I would simply say "not for me". I guess I'm finding that I don't like most Lee products, so it may just be a matter of preference, but I'm not loyal to a particular brand either. Better brands off the top of my head - Claiborne, Levi, Old Navy.
These shorts look great and fit great. Might not be of much concern to others, but the two small pockets on the left side really annoy me. They are to small to put anything in without them falling out with normal usage. I bought the "Levi Squadron Cargo Shorts" and found them to be much better.
