I was sure the ad initially said for 3 so I purchased them but it turned out to be for only 1. I would have never spent that kind of money for 1 container of coffee. I will screen shop my purchases from now on.
I bought 6 of these. I'm about half way through consuming the package of 6 of the Folgers Columbian Medium roast coffee. Since I started drinking this exact batch, I have started getting headaches for 2 days at a time. I rarely get headaches. I have finally realized that it's from this coffee. I noticed after drinking 1 cup of this coffee, about 1 hour later I would start getting a headache. So yesterday I switched to a much cheaper Columbia coffee from a different brand, and the headache went away, and hasn't returned. The headache went away as soon as I stopped drinking this Folgers coffee. Historically Folgers coffee has been my go-to coffee because it never causes headaches and is usually amazing. However, I did a Google search and both Maxwell House and Folgers brand coffee have been blamed by other people, with anecdotal reports of nausea and headaches. It's only anecdotal. It's not proof of anything, and what I'm describing may be totally incorrect, and merely a coincidence. If it turns out to be a coincidence, I will come back and update this post. As of now, the headache went away with the cessation of this Folger's coffee, and the switch to a different coffee, so I can only assume that this is a bad batch of Folgers coffee.
I’ve purchased Folgers 100% Columbian coffee for many years. Something seems to be wrong, as this shipment and the last one were terrible. I actually have to double the amount of coffee I use to make a pot (10 scoops instead of 5), and the resulting coffee is still more watery and tasteless than we like. (No, it’s not the Bunn coffee maker, as other coffees are just fine.) I’ve looked into the matter and, as others have done, decided to leave feedback on the Folgers website. It’s disappointing and puzzling. One wonders what is going on. I’m not going to waste money on Folgers again until I have some assurance that they’ve addressed this issue.
Background and reference: I'm able to enjoy a cup of folgers black silk or breakfast blend as well as espresso, starbucks, mild to very dark roasts...etc.
I have no idea where this coffee came from or the roast on it, but it does NOT taste good at all. I tried drip, french press, even a pour over thinking/hoping it was getting the weird aftertaste from sitting on the grounds too long. Nope. The flavor is very stale, sharp, and acidic. Even using cream, sweetener, or flavoring agents like syrups or my wife's flavored creamers did nothing to hide or take the edge off the taste.
Tried giving it to my in-laws who are maxwell house/folgers "whatever you got" diner-style coffee drinkers and they threw out the 1st pot they brewed. Something is definitely off or wrong here. Now what to do with the 5-1/2 tubs of this stuff we have left 🤦♂️
I have drunk Folgers Columbian coffee for may years and was always satisfied. I bought this 6 pack and when I opened the first can, there was not much of a smell and the smell it did have was strange.I can't even describe the smell I tried brewing some and it had no coffee smell at all. I opened two other cans, but they were the same as the first.
I need to make a low acid adjustments across my entire diet. Coffee looked like an easy place to start. Just made a test pot. My wife and I both dislike the flavor. We will not be drinking it again. I tried it with dairy milk and almond milk. Dairy milk did not help it at all. Almond milk instantly curdled in a most unappealing visual spectacle.
I drank Folgers coffee for years, then the taste got terrible. Say this new blend so I figured I would give it a try. Made one pot this morning, wasn't any different then there other types of blends, couldn't even finish my cup of coffee. Will be going back to Gavalia Traditional Blend.
