I have many sports bras and this one is a favourite. I have a shorter upper torso so it is important to me that the adjustable straps function properly. The straps on this bra are wonderfully designed and constructed. Overall the bra works as expected and I love the choice of colours. (Purchaser's wife).
Overall this is a great sports bra except for those of us with larger cups. I'm a 38I (I'm close to a 36 so a smaller 38) , yes you read that correctly. That's a 38G in the UK which is what I usually buy because the US does not carry my size. I typically have to shop at higher price places for quality bras like Nordstrom. So I pay high prices for my bras. Sports bras just shouldn't cost that much. We have to wash them way more. This held it all in but was a bit tight. I got the xl. Some boob would try to escape the sides. I didn't bounce around but I felt like my boobs looks flattened and weird.
This did create uniboob but really most sports bras do for my size and it's not pretty.
If you're a smaller size it will work well for you.
Now about the quality, that's why I gave this 4 stars and not 3. It's made very well!!
The racerback presses on a sensitive area for me and caused pain. For this reason I had to return it.
This is a serious bra. It is a bit of a workout just to get into it, but it holds everything in place and is quite comfortable once you get it on. I'd personally rather wriggle into an overhead sports bra than work out with hooks digging in my back.
This is my "high impact" sports bra, which I use for jogging and kickboxing. I feel fine jumping and kicking and whatever I need to do, and don't feel self conscious about bouncing if I'm going for a jog. I usually wear a 32 or 34 C in a bra and the small fit me well--very tight, but that's what I wanted.
The mesh portions aren't visually obvious but do help the bra to breath. I live in New Orleans, so this is a pretty important aspect to me when working out in the swampy humidity. The straps are wide enough not to cut into my shoulders and nothing shifts when I'm moving. I haven't noticed any rubbing or chafing. Overall a great purchase.
I loved this bra. I was looking for a compression bra for running. I'm 5'6", 150 lb but even with the XL size, I couldn't catch a breath with this bra on. I really hoped it would work. I've had several Champion Sports bras, but I can't believe how tight this one is. Maybe it would loosen up over time, but I'd be blue by then. I sadly had to send it back.
A light and tight bra - my new favorite! This is a compression bra, so it doesn't have a lot of stretch and is a bit tight going on. It is also extremely light - no extra padding and mesh panels on the back so it breathes very well. So once it's on, it holds everything in and I hardly notice it. I have worn this bra for a couple 12-30 hour adventure races (running, biking, paddling) with no chafing. I plan to wear it for an upcoming 72-hour race. I am a 36 A-B, normally wear M in champion sports bras, and the M fits well on me.
I wear a 32A bra, regularly. The small works at keeping me from bouncing. It is not as easy to get into and out of it as it is with bras that have clasps, but it's not too difficult for me, anyway. Maybe I'm more flexible than other reviewers. To get out of it, I usually bend downwards and that helps.
It does not conceal nipples, though if you're concerned about that. But it is not a concern for me.
This bra has some good about it, but the ban around the turso was way too big for me - I went with a bigger size because of reviews and regret it - better a good fit than too big. I like Champion but I find the straps are sometimes a bit long for me and the rest of the specs vary with each kind of bra, not real consistent. You just have to try them on in person if you really need support especially.
I really like champion sports bras and have 2 of the women's show-off sports bra that I love. This bra is alright. I feel like as a 34B I bounce a bit more than I was hoping and that the other style actually does a better job keeping me in place. It is still comfortable and stylish, I just don't think I would wear it for longer than a 6 mile run!
