I had bought a garden flag stand for our yard a few months ago from a local home improvement store. When I needed another one quickly and couldn't go to the store, I purchased this one. This flag stand is thicker and sturdier than the one I bought locally and also is a better price. I like the fact that it comes with a rubber tip to put on the end you feed the flag onto to prevent the flag from coming off...although it would take some awfully strong wind to do that, I think. The ends of the stand that go into the ground were pointed, making it easier to place the stand in the ground. All in all, a good buy I'm happy with.

Sturdy Garden Flag Holder - Would buy again

We now have two of these garden flag holders. We have them facing each other because a light shines on the flags at night. They are free standing and do not bend or turn in the wind. Therefore we did not have to tie the holders together at the top loops. This was a concern since we live in the Southwest and experience heavy winds. The flags themselves do get blown around but the holders do not move, period. They come as one unit and you do not have to put them together. This is a real plus. The previous garden flag holder we had came in four separate pieces which you screwed together. Concept was good but after a couple of days of heavy wind the tack welds on the couplings broke. The whole unit would then rotate in the winds. So in heavy winds, we had a rotating holder with blowing flags... enough to make you dizzy if you tried to watch it for more than a minute.

We will be buying this product again when we purchase more garden flags.

This is the flag stand for all those who spend a little less and get crap. I sent back 4 others b4 spending a bit more and this one is way better than the rest . Don't waiste your time on cheaper stands .This is the one you want.

Stand Size Misleading

Would have rated the item higher but being advertised as being 18-inches wide, I falsely presumed that it would hold an 18-inch garden flag. It will not! The working length is approx. 14-inches. One should be very careful when purchasing a stand for their garden flag and make sure the dimensions are representative of you needs. Otherwise the stand appears to be worth the money.

BTW... one important fact is that its a solid piece. I have had the 2 part type in the past that have all failed! Solid construction is a plus!

Deceptive advertising

The product was advertised as “Amazon’s Choice for flags 28” X 40”. I didn’t think it necessary to read the fine details as to the size. Upon receipt I realized the holder was for small garden flags (18”). When I re-read the entire description it clearly says flags 18” wide. Amazon’s statement does not match
the item. I should have read the seller description, but I thought Amazon surely knew what they were talking about. Their bad.
