I bought this for a project and the lights were going to be a permanent fixture on the project and I guess its my fault I didn’t check all of the lights before continuing the project and I ended up with one light not even working at all...and it’s too late to try to return them cus they already on my project....
These are nice lights. I've purchased several similar sets, and have determined this: 1. Buy a set that has a timer. I started with other sets without timers, which were beautiful, but a pain to remember to turn them off each night. These have a timer, but it says in the description that they stay on for six hours. Mine definitely do not stay on that long. It's actually either 4 or 5 hours; important for me because they are combined with other sets that really do stay on for six hours. 2. 30 lights is the most attractive if you're putting them in a cylinder. I have some other sets with 50 lights, but they look busy and lose the delicate look that I was going for. 3. I wish these had a clear colored battery pack. These are black. I'm using them on my white fireplace mantle, so the black packs are difficult to disguise.
Two of my three strands were built in a way that they cannot be completely straight...the wiring is looped in a way through that would cause me to dislodge one of the LEDs if I wanted a completely straight strand. Fortunately that wasn't what I was planning to use them for. I liked the look of the lights in glass jars; these photos are misleading. You have a large black box for the battery that you have to somehow hide. Overall, I feel like the images are not representative.
It's an okay product, not nearly as cool as I thought it would be upon purchasing.
Eh. They're ok. I don't dislike them or have any major problems with them but they're annoying to set up, don't have as many lights as advertised and they kill batteries fast. Only really use them during Christmas instead of as fairy lights for my apartment like I had wanted to do.
Runs through batteries pretty quick, and one (of three) of the battery packs' timer functions does not work. Overall I like the look, wrap it through some wood logs in the fireplace for decoration or along the garland during Christmas.
The lights are great when the batteries are fresh but they drain batteries very quickly. My plan was to test these and if they were good, I would order more but I've opted for another option. I am surprised at the battery drain. I have some other battery operated candles and such that function longer with less battery drain.
Gave 3 stars because the lights have a plug which is stated but I was looking for battery operated. My fault I looked at so many on line and then clicked on the wrong one. I have not used the product because it does not meet my needs due to needing to be plugged in.
The wires come tightly bundled in the packaging, so the unwound strings have lots of crimps (they aren't wound up round like in the product photo). They look pretty terrible unless you smooth out all the crimps by hand and it takes a while. The battery packs are also HUGE and pretty bulky. Hard to keep these discrete.
