We bought four of these mats and two sets of connectors. The look as though they might well work out. They will be used outdoors just at the base of the step off a concrete front stoop. The purpose is to male clear that there is a step off the porch and to cushion the step. They replace a set of solid rubber pads that we have used for a few years but which did not drain well. your product is much lighter and feels all right but if the heat of the sun doesn't flatten them out soon they may have to come back as a tripping hazard. The connectors, which took a bit of puzzling to figure out how they were meant to function possibly should be slightly stiffer in the web which is meant to hold them in place. At the moment the remaining curl in the mats is enough to make them work loose.
This product was exactly what we were looking for but it arrived rolled up so it required time to flatten out. We left it out for a whole weekend and it was still curled. We bought two sets in the hopes that we could interlock them together but that is not possible. We will have to lay them beside each other and hope they eventually flatten out.
Ordered 14 sets of this product. Product is advertised as INTERLOCKING rubber mats. To interlock mats, you must have a rubber or plastic connectors. The entire order came without any type of interlocking device. There are no instructions. I spent (2) hours or so, trying to find a interlocking pattern on the product, but none found. They are quite spongy and appear to be durable. Not recommended for high or heavy traffic. A ribbed rubber mat roll, works just as good, maybe better, and is MUCH cheaper.
