I am so torn on this bra! I love the cups and the straps. There isn't much digging in my shoulders bc they're just a teeny bit wider and padded w/o looking like a grandma bra, love that! There is no lining but it gives a really nice shape with just a little bit of minimizing (I honestly wouldn't really call this a minimizer though - it's closer to a normal/non-push up bra than a minimizer). However, as others have noted in their reviews, it's cut very high under the arms. So weird! The back is also cut pretty small. I'm generally a 34, with some weight gain I'm pushing to a 36 so that's what I ordered. I normally use the last hook on a 36, the first hook was tight when putting this on. I've had it on for about an hour and it's already stretched out a bit and feels comfortable around the back now. That does make me worried about it lasting though. The cup size does not run small - it's totally true to size in my humble opinion.
Expanding on the weird fit: You know that area between your boob and your armpit? The spot that when you lift your boobs you get a little roll, the spot that gets really irritated when you wear sleeveless tops/dresses with harsh material around the edge? That is the exact spot this bra cuts in. I honestly didn't notice it at first just trying it on. Because the the other reviews, I decided to leave the bra on for a bit while moving around the house and sure enough it started to cut in and irritate the sensitive skin there. I LOVE this bra except for that one thing. I almost want to try to alter it myself because everything else about it is great. I don't think the material there would bother me quite as much if I was about 5-10lbs lighter/a little more toned up top.
If you're plus size, I would definitely not recommend this bra. If you are a thinner person with a very large chest then perhaps that extra material might not bother you.
In the end - I'm keeping this bra because I desperately need it to go under a dress for a wedding. While a bit uncomfortable in the arms, I just don't have time to get a different bra that'll work under the dress. I may be visiting a seamstress to alter this thing though.
Bought a black one and a beige one. Straps seem short on both and size seems off on both despite buying the same size and have other Triumph bras at home. Should've returned but didn't. Love the brand but maybe these are seconds?
