The Oceanique Bath Rug from DII is not appropriate for my personal bathroom. It easily slides on the linoleum. (However, it doesn't slide on my bedroom carpet.) It needs a plastic backing that adheres to slippery surfaces. The Oceanique Bath Rug is not plush. It is absorbent, but it isn't comfortable to step on with my bare feet. Also, it attracts a lot of lint, dust, fibers, and hair over a short period of time. According to the cleaning instructions, it can be washed in cold water, but must be laid flat to dry.
Many reviewers have reported that their rug shrunk when placed in the dryer, even on low heat. I don't have the free space in my crowded condominium to lay this rug flat to dry. However, I have vacuumed it at least twice and that has brought it close to new condition. I believe the Oceanique Bath Rug from DII is more appropriate as an accent rug in my bedroom, living room, or another room that has carpeting. In the meantime, I will return to my plush bath rugs that came from a discount department store.
Not sure if I would call this mauve or at least what I think to be mauve colored. To me is more of a dusty light pink. It is a very light color not a deep color.
I like that this is 100% cotton and easily washable. I wash in cold and have had no issues at all with shrinking or losing shape.
It is more like the kind of bath mats that are like towels than what I think of as a rug. No grip on the back since it is more towel like but is what I grew up with so I am ok with that. It really does not move around much at all on our bathroom floor. We have a textured laminate tile on our floor so might be why not much movement to it. Just be careful as it might move on other surfaces due to not having a backing to it that one would think of with a rug.
It looks nice and is quite functional being highly absorbent. This mat has been doing just fine even on the days my teen forget to put the shower curtain on the inside of the tub.
This is a nicely constructed rug. While not plush, it is soft and absorbent. You do need to provide a rug grip as there are no slip guards on the bottom and it does tend to slide. It is reasonably absorbent and is machine washable. The mauve color of mine is very pale/. It is a pretty color just significantly less rich than I anticipated. It is so muted it is essentially a neutral that will blend with most colors and decors. Overall, a nice, pretty rug.

A quite fancy rug, the pattern on it is really nicely done, and it looks fancy without looking too old fashioned. The rug isn't super thick and doesn't have a solid backing on it, so it does seem to get mishshapen a bit. For a bathroom, while it looks nice, it's probably worth getting something a bit softer.
