To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I really love these hipsters. I am 5'5, 135 lbs. and they fit perfectly. There are zero panty lines, these are amazing! I would like to wear them every day of the week. Now for the bad part . . . the price. They are $20 per panty. I am restocking my underwear drawer, and I can't afford these Chantelle panties. My search goes on for the second best panty.
I wear a size 10 in most pants so I was not sure if these would actually fit. In my experience, one size items have been disappointing. I had to try these to see if it was true or not. So after opening theshipping box and seeing the undies that looked like they were for a pre-teen, I was skeptical. Low and behold, they actually went on! They do ride lower on the hips, as this is a hipster style I suspected they would. The fabric is light and comfy. The waistband stayed up all day, no rolling. I even wore them to the gym that day and they only slightly rode up on my cheeks while I was on the elliptical. I never had to publicly adjust, though. I was shocked that such a tiny panty actually fit and stayed up all day.
I would say that you could definitely not be a plus sized girl and wear these, the ad says small to XL. I am not sure even an XL would work, but if you have Prime you can return them for free. Maybe it will work for you also.
When I opened the box from amazon, I received something so small, that I thought I should not even try it on, but give it to my tiny girlfriend. As an afterthought, I figured I may as well try it on over my undies for a laugh. Boy was I surprised when this pair fit me perfectly without an issue, as advertised! When I took them off, they went right back down to size - stretchy pants! I usually take a large because I like roomy undies that don't cut into you and make unsightly bulges. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they are made of polyamide and elastane - not organic, natural or sustainable materials. But this material is what does its wonderful trick of soft fit with no bulges. Great for a smooth look when you need to have one under clothing, though I do not think it will work for everyone. A GREAT thing about them - 100% cotton insert - kudos for including that, Chantelle. thanks for the undies - highly recommended!
Note: The person using this product in our household is my wife. I'm transposing her thoughts on the product for this review.
My wife is a fan of the Chantelle Soft Stretch Hipster undies with one notable exception - according to her, these underwear have an annoying habit of riding up on the leg and folding over on themselves. This might be due to the one size construction. For reference, my wife is about 5'4" and 110lbs so other reviewers may have better luck.
Aside from the one gripe, my wife likes these! They're comfortable and very stretchy thanks to the blend of materials.
When a product says it is one size fits all, it truly doesn't. It fits smalls through an extra large -maybe. For most women on the lower spectrum of the scale, they will love these panties. They have no labels, no seams and are nothing but comfortable and super soft and stretchy. Panties like these, are made of polyester and spandex, except the gusset, which is cotton. Due to the material, you are going to want to hand wash these and then dry flat. I have a utility room cart that allows me to immediately put clothing on a hanger to dry and that is what I do, rather than risk my husband man-handling them if they are on top of the dryer
As small as these look, they are super stretchy. If my daughter wasn't willing to wear them, I was. So, into the wash they went. Well, I kid you not, the washer must have eaten them because they are nowhere to be found. They are tiny, like they would fit a small child, so I wasn't surprised that they disappeared like my socks. If they ever reappear, I will let you know how things go, but I really think they made a nice snack for my washer..
