To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
These are horrible! I think if they get too close to heat, they would melt. Forget catching on fire. I have not decided if I am going to return them or use them for disposable purposes. That's all they are good for. I can't believe they have over 4 stars with over 800 reviews. They are so thin. They don't feel like actual fabric at all.
Wish I could give this product a "ZERO" Stars. Needed a couple of aprons for a client. Ordered and very disappointed with the workmanship of this product. Looks like a child tried using a sewing machine to make the apron. Sides were uneven, wavy, and not stitched in sections. I tried contacting the company, but they just wanted to send email after email asking this, then that and then after several days wanted me to send them a photo of their product. By this time I had thrown the aprons away and ordered from another company. I asked for a refund, but was denied. DO NOT PURCHASE....You'll be sorry.
I don't know how these aprons have great reviews. We use black aprons at our restaurant and have purchased many great ones on amazon. These are very cheaply made with a scratchy material like the kind you find with cheap reusable shopping bags. They are stiff and irritate your skin. Chama was the brand I bought last time and they were great. Do yourself a favor and get something with much better quality for the same price.
You get what you pay for, and these aprons are no exception. I had high hopes for these aprons when I saw them on Amazon, as they appeared to be pretty good quality and I especially liked the longer length on them, but I was disappointed. The material is very thin and cheap with a paper like feel to it. The two pockets were poorly stitched, and within a week the stitching had come out of both. The cheap quality becomes even more noticeable after washing, as the material shrinks to the point that the apron is unwearable. If I could give this apron zero stars I would!
I bought these because I often spill or spray things on myself and I hate ruining my clothes with oils. I have washed these aprons once, today while making chocolate chip cookies I spattered a drop of melted butter on my thigh. I thought "Thank God I had my apron on!" I lift the apron to check my pants and the butter had gone straight through. It's worth it to buy a thicker apron that doesn't rely on coatings to prevent stains.
