I loved this book so much so I purchased the audio as well....

I'm new to Norse mythology and loved the characters the way the stories unfold. The crisp writing style got me! I read it twice, just for pure enjoyment. I suggest you'd purchase the audiobook as well. It gives a more in-depth telling of how Neil wanted the stories to be read.

I prefer non-fiction writings, but this Neil Gaiman piece is crafted beautifully.

Book arrived as if it were used.
It has greasy smudge marks all over the over, the corner of the back is peeling and there are fingerprints everywhere.
Something you’d expect from a second hand store, not brand new off Amazon.

I’d like either a full refund or discount because this is most certainly not the brand new book I paid for.

This book somewhat reminds of Mythos & Heroes by Stephen Fry. I knew little about Norse mythology before reading it. It is clear and the writer's style in generally good. I would recommend it if you want to have a basic overview of the topic of Norse mythology.

I thought the book was not bad. I was thinking it would be the Norse myths with a modern telling. Unfortunately, but with credit to him, Gaiman stuck to the rigid, sparse style of the original tales. Made for interesting, but not overly engaging reading. As a Gaiman fan, this one was just alright for me.

My son did some work for the next Thor movie. Now I understand what Ragnarok is, or will be. Norse Mythology is a brilliant read. I read it with Kindle and Audible narration; well worth it with the authors terrific narration.
