To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Received the cross today. Comment regarding the art, material, craftmanship of the cross.
Art: Totally different than the Amazon sale picture. All edges are straight cut, no wavy feature. Look bare and ugly. Material: Don't know if it is real olive wood. Look like pine or thing from the pallet. No grain texture, no wood stain, no reddish color. Ugly. Craftmanship: Sharp egdes and burr. No certification or whatever info indicate from olive, bethlehem, jerusalem, ... Shipment is wrapping with bubble plastic sheet with sloppy tape, no gift presentation like. Ugly.
Religion teach truth and honest. This piece of workmanship does not reflect that. A cheapy gift to someone. Hopefully they will accept it due to a symbol of religion.
I ORDERED OVER 20 CROSSES IN THE PAST ; AS OF TODAY I AM WAITING ON TWO MORE ORDERS ; THIS LAST ORDER I WAS DISAPPOINTED TWO OF THE CROSSES HAD A TWISTED AT THE LOWER PART OF THE CROSSES I HOPE MY NEXT ORDERS ARE OK .
The wood is pretty, but the angles at set at full 90º so it looks a bit "off" seeing it from certain angles. It arrived in a padded envelope which had been "opened" and there was NO CERTIFICATE nor PRAYER CARD....... The wood itself is pretty; and while I will keep it, my search for another cross will continue...... I'd give this a 3 (minus) Star rating at best......... Not sure I would recommend this to others........
I was excited to get this, considering the material and origin of it. When it arrived, however, I was displeased. The horizontal bar of the cross was loose and barely glued on, and with a slight nudge came off entirely, breaking the image of Jesus at the feet from the vertical bar and prying it off where it was glued on the horizontal bar. It's pretty, but extremely fragile.
