I am a 32G, a size I didn't even think existed (and mostly doesn't, in purchasable garments) until I went and actually measured myself properly (google "abrathatfits" and then follow the directions, yes it's a lot of measurements, yes it's worth the hassle, then when you get over the shock of the size, just buy and try one bra - of any kind - in the new size, you'll never go back). I used to wear a 34D, and I'd been professionally measured by an incompetent cretin with a measuring tape as a 36B (that was hilarious - I managed to get it on, and then made her look at me in that bra and then look me in the eye and she still had the gall to insist that was the correct size - there was more of me outside the bra than inside the bra, I looked like I'd wandered into a bondage fetish nightmare) . Anyway, if you try one of these and it "doesn't fit"... just try measuring yourself properly and see what happens.
I'd been wearing these Champion extra high impact bras that were discontinued ages ago in 34DD... they didn't fit (wrong size) but they didn't let anything move, which was my goal. Unfortunately, though they've lasted more years than I'd feared, they're not immortal, and the fabric is simply starting to fail awkwardly. A replacement needed to be found...
Since I wear this brand of bras normally, as they're one of the few places that actually sells my true size, I just said a prayer and ordered the same size. It has 4 clasps in the back (so don't worry about the stock photo showing 3, it is scaled with size), and with the shoulders all the way on the tightest settings (love that feature), the girls move minimally - they do move, just acceptably so. I don't worry about them moving, I'm not bothered by them moving on a half hour run, but they do move. I'm still working back up to my more usual, longer distances, if anything changes I'll revise.
I'll put it this way - my old bras held the girls so tight and fast (ok, in the wrong size) that when I found one that worked (the girls were 100% immobile) I immediately bought 4 more in the same size, as many as I could afford. By the time I had more money they were sold out of my size, and discontinued shortly after. This one I like enough to buy one more, though I could probably afford more than that, I'll keep looking. But at 32G I just don't have many options, and this one is good enough. The one thing I DO like infinitely better is that this has a full back clasp - I can clasp it in front and spin it around to put it on. My old ones had a partial clasp to get it over your boobs but it was a racer-back, so you had to put it on and reach back and clasp it behind your back like a contortionist or get a roommate (or a kind female stranger at the trailhead after failing for 20 minutes in the changing room) to do it for you. That was demotivational. So that part is better in this design.
This year, I've been on a search for the perfect sports bra to start running. I wear a size 34G, and obviously, I can't buy anything off the rack. The S/M/L sizes are terrible because they are either too loose around the rib cage or don't have enough coverage for the ladies. This bra doesn't have that problem.
Unfortunately, though, this bra didn't provide the support it boasted. I jumped up and down, and I definitely felt my girls jumping up and down with me. Painful! If you're looking for a yoga bra or something you can wear to lifts weights, go for it. Otherwise, choose something else. I recommend Wacoal's Sport CONTOUR bra. It's magic for us big-busted ladies.
I have been searching for a good fitting wired sports bra and this is one of the better ones i have come across but it does have its flaws. The wire on the middle of the cups comes up very high and does not sit flat near the chest. I can actually put 3 fingers between my chest and the wire so it sticks up pretty far and is noticeable under my shirt. The material is also very thin and has no protection aganist your nipple showing. I would say this is not a maximum support bra but good enough for most gym type activities.
I am very large busted (DDD) and this was true to size. I'm usually a Lane Bryant or nothing kind of girl. I took a chance on this bra because I was looking for something to wear backpacking. This bra is comfortable, though much harder to hook in the back than my regular bras. The material is very soft. It did have a slight chemical smell upon opening but I suspect it will come out with a wash. As for support, this will be a good day to day bra and I will probably wear it when I go kayaking but not for running or hiking. It lifts the girls but won't keep them from bouncing around with heavy activity. I dont want a black eye. Bonus points for no sports bra uniboob though.
While it isn't the most attractive design for sports bra, it is comfortable and very supportive. No bounce. I am normally a 30DDD or 32DD and found it true to size. I do not recommend wearing this in public on its own. It's not that kind of sports bra. The material is not padded so it's best with a loose or thicker shirt. The fit provides a decent shape. I would buy again if I needed more.
This is a very good sports bra. It fits well, despite the cup wires that are definitely to long. They don't bother me, but you can see them kinda tenting your shirt in certain positions. But that usually only happens when I working out in certain positions. I have worn this bra as a regular bra with little to know problems and plan to buy another. At under $50 price point, I think it's a good buy. Also note, that I haven't done any running in this bra, mostly strength training and low impact cardio. For Wacoal bras, I am a 36DDD.
Perfect fit and very comfortable. Not too tight around the band and enough room for the size D boobies. Holds "the girls" well and gives great shape. Love that the straps can cross for racerback tops. Easy on and off. This is the sports bra I've been looking for all my life!
This is truly supportive bra and I couldn’t beat the price for my size. I run and do cardio and felt supported with no extra bouncing which I have found with other actual cupped sports bras. The only thing I don’t like is the wire in the front comes up and out pretty far. I can see it poking my shirt. Not terrible but I wouldn’t buy another one.
I never thought I'd wear a sports bra for every day but this is the only bra I've found that feels good and can be worn all day. Regular bras always feel so skimpy, like the straps are falling down and I'm falling out the bottom of them (and I'm not that big). This bra is great. It gives you a nice solid feeling and the shape isn't bad either. It's a bit pricey but worth it.
