5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome and complete kit. Super adorable!!

((( This is a DIY kit, it does not come put together. & the parts are supposed to be small because it’s a miniature kit! )))
Just recieved my kit and I’m in love with it already. Surprised to see the tree trunk on the left side is actually very hard plastic, which is great. Full color instructions in English that are easy to follow. You even have a pdf version of the instructions if that’s what you’d prefer. Can’t wait to get it done and hang up on my wall. ((Review updated with finished photos. I lost the little bird nest that went on the branch so it’s not pictured lol))

Colour Name: Warm DawnVerified Purchase
I picked the Warm Dawn miniature kit for my first time making a miniature, after getting the idea from a video of someone assembling an entire dollhouse kit. I liked how this kit was small, since I wasn't sure if I would be able to do it. I also liked how the end product wouldn't take up much space either, and could even be hung on a wall (where no one is walking closely by to bump into it). After reading other reviews, I acquired the following supplies:
Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue,
Aleene's Original Tacky Glue,
precision tweezers,
precision craft knife,
precision scissors, and a
placemat for cutting/gluing on.
I mainly used the Beacon 3-in-1 glue because it set pretty quickly and dried clear. I used the tacky glue for gluing down the wallpaper by watering it down a tiny bit and painting it on. I guess I also used a cheap paint brush, dixie cup, paper towels, and toothpicks. The Beacon glue tended to leave a string of glue from the item to the bottle that I would catch on a toothpick and wipe on a paper towel. The glue was cheaper to buy at the craft store (plus they always have a coupon) than online. I also relied heavily on my precision scissors to cut out all the small paper items. I made some modifications to personalize it and improve 2 things that I didn't like. The first thing I didn't like was the wires between the top of the "Wall lamp" item and ceiling, so I poked/"drilled" a small hole in the back with my craft knife. I made sure that the 2 LED wires and wire that would be folded over and twisted could fit in the hole before continuing (see photo). Then I threaded the wires of the LED down through the bottom of the light instead of the top. I colored the white electrical wires with a black permanent marker and wrapped them around the twisted wires that were used to attach the light to the wall. Then when I attached it to the wall, I put the electrical wires through the hole that I had made and glued the lamp base over the hole. The second thing I didn't care for was the basket of 2 plates. Instead I made a loaf of bread by rolling up a strip of the "beige non-woven cloth" (felt) that was leftover from the "Cloth" item. I wrapped this roll in one of the cloths of the "Cloth" item and glued it into the basket. The only negative thing was that I was missing 1 piece of the blue cabinet, but it was easy to email the address given with the kit to resolve this. I did have to wait 28 days for it to arrive, but I had plenty of time before Christmas, so this didn't bother me. The instructions were colored pictures and clearly labeled part numbers that were easy to follow. Doing this kit gave me confidence to make my own miniature room box from scratch. As I worked on my "from scratch" project, it really made me appreciate how the Flever kit has all the materials supplied and assembly methods figured out. I think the kit is a more cost effective way to buy the materials since you often just need an individual bead or a small scrap of fabric but are forced to buy a larger quantity. Overall, I greatly enjoyed building this kit, and the finished product is very satisfying. I can't wait to give it as a gift.

I love this kinda thing, I've done a few miniature DIY things like the coffee shop, flower shop, sushi restaurant and chocolatier, so I knew it was going to be a lot of tiny little pieces. I usually save the extra bits from old kits just in case, and I'm glad I did! I did not receive the brown paper, but had some extra to complete this kit. I also messed up on using all of the rope for the bird nest instead of keeping the rest for the ladder, so my extras came in handy for the rope ladder as well! The hardest part of this kit is building the frame. I put it on and took it off to make building easier, so I could put the frame back on in the end, but it was difficult to get back on! I dropped the whole thing and thankfully most of it stayed where it was, I had to reglue a few things down, and finally got the thing up on the wall. I'm a little disappointed only 4/6 lights ended up working, but overall very happy with the way it turned out. I added a swan and hedgehog from some other miniature thing I bought a while back, and also added the mushrooms because i couldn't manage to craft them out of the felt they provided. The battery box doesnt really stay hidden like I'd hoped, but it's ok. Overall, very happy with this kit!

5.0 out of 5 stars So tiny and cute. update 2/26/20 another update, for squirrel brown 4/8/20.

Love miniatures just started my collection in the last few months. My daughter and I are both collecting them to assemble together and construct a town/village in my basement also including LEGOs . It will be a lifelong project for us. Shipping was faster than I thought and pictured on the box so you know what miniature your getting. Has everything inside to construct and should be a blast to assemble. All the little parts are so tiny and cute. Will update when done.
Update: all pieces were accounted for and this was a blast, it was my first miniature kit. I’m currently on my 3rd kit now. So addictive, very time consuming, but that’s what I like about them. Plus all the cute little pieces, it’s absolutely amazing and adorable. All pieces are separated in plastic bags which are labeled so you know where to get what pieces. The manual is not in English but you do get a pdf to download, which is a great help, especially if it’s your first build. I don’t glue everything down, for items like the t.v. , bowl of apples on coffee table etc, I use museum wax, so if I want to change things around or just want to add my own personal touch to some of them. This kit did come with the dust cover, I just haven’t put it on yet. Also music box included too. This kit was assembled in 12 days , some days I worked an hour some days I put in 6 or more hours. The pillows on the couch and bed I added my own stitching to in blue and yellow. Just thought I would add my own touches. The possibilities are endless here , so have fun!

Home of squirrel brown!
Soooooo much fun, l took as long as possible to finish it because I didn’t want to be finished! I love squirrels and have had a squirrel a couple of years ago. So this one is very dear to me. I added a lot of my own touches too. Everything was accounted for and in new condition. The only problem is the battery pack doesn’t work, I’m really disappointed in that aspect. When you pay for something you want all of it to be there and to function as it should. I’m not gonna deduct from my rating due to this , though it would be nice if the company could send me one that actually works. Still very enjoying to look at despite the lights not working!

3.0 out of 5 stars Tiny, hard to read, hard to see, lots of paper parts
Reviewed in the United States on 27 June 2018
Colour Name: Home of Squirrel-brownVerified Purchase
It's way tinier than expected, most of the parts are paper and are so small I won't be able to cut them out. Picture yourself cutting out a circle to paste the size of a lentil (magnifying glass needed and will still probably cut myself). I can't even hold something that small. Will need to use scissors while holding paper with tweezers? No thanks. Will need special small scissors since regular scissors won't work. After going through all the parts, they are so small, some were missing. No surprise - if we can hardly see them, how can they? Would not recommend unless you are very patient, have super eyesight and love working with sub-miniature items. The signs, for instance, are so small I can't read them. The dimensions are for the OUTSIDE of the frame, the box behind, the actual "picture" is much smaller. I wish some of the paper parts had been plastic. I would be more likely to pay this price for a finished product, rather than a DIY. 2.5 stars since I will use the parts for something else, those that are real parts, the rest is uselessly tiny, blurry and hard to read.

I loved building this little house picture frame. I'm huge into fairies and wanted to build a few houses around my house using something like this and those little glass balls you hang from the ceiling. I was going to turn my house into a little fairy village. But stuff like this my cats cant get into. but mine tragically met its end by a big obsidian egg my husband and i have. Its monsterous and it fell of the shelf and caught my fairy house i spent all that time that day making and smashed it into a million pieces. just a piece of advice keep fairy houses away from absidian eggs they dont play well together lol.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for beginners

Colour Name: Leisurely LunchVerified Purchase
I'm an experienced miniaturist. This kit has many, many pieces, some of it goes together well, rest not so much. It's definitely not high end as much of the tiny items are clever but cheap materials. Nice that tools are provided but the scissors were useless. No help in what kind of glues work best. Gluing the furniture was a nightmare. Some poor design elements: The screws for the hinges are too long for the box...they poked through and the screw is too small to secure the hanger. The battery pack has no place to live...nowhere to put it...I had to build a small casing to hide it and secure it to the box. I certainly would not give this as a gift. The English instructions are quite amusing due to lack of fluency. So, the price pretty much matches the quality or lack thereof.

I had a lot of fun putting this together. There is no way I could have done it based on the included directions but there is an assembly of it on YouTube, which really helped, especially with wiring the lights. Be warned, this is a small piece and the components are all very tiny. I had difficulty assembling a few of the smallest things- this tiny box and pillows, which i gave up on. But it was still enjoyable for me, I ended up adding a few of my own details like polymer mushrooms. I like how it looks hanging on my wall with the lights on!

I loved making these miniature houses. I made it very fast and there was no missing piece. The only thing I did not like is that you have to make the holes for the screws. Although it is not so difficult to do them. Another thing I didn't like were the lights. I did not put them, it does not have a place to store the cables. The only way is to glue them with tape on the back and it would look very bad when you are going to put the frame on the wall. Included, scissors, tweezers and ruler. The manual is in English and well explained with color photos.
