Scale arrived in a timely manner, was well packaged and not hard to set up. The numbers bounce around quite a bit. It apparently has to reset itself every time you move it. This entails the scale running through a series of weights (none of which reflect your actual weight). The 2nd time you weigh yourself, I found it still does bounce around quite a bit. I was left wondering what my actual weight was. It was easy to change from kilos to lbs. The numbers are not very bright also, in dim lighting, they are harder to read than a back-lit one. I have to admit that my biggest disappointment though was the colour. I looked at many different scales and I fell in love with the bright turquoise colour. But it is nothing like the picture. If you hold it up to the light, you might say it's a very dark turquoise but sitting on the floor, it actually looks forest green. I never would have purchased it had I seen an accurate depiction of the colour. I had hoped that it would be a match with the décor in my bedroom but it isn't at all. Perhaps I'm being too picky about esthetics but if the colour is important to you, I would suggest looking at some of the buyers photos, which more closely reflect the actual colour.
Like many other scales at this price point, the 'accuracy' seems to come from a memory effect. The scale remembers objects that weigh close to the previous object and reports the same weight. Take off a t-shirt and weight again, and chances are if you t-shirt was quite light, you would see the same weight. Unlike some other scales at this price point, this one is not back lit. I missed that, and somewhat regret this purchase, as it's hard to read in dim light.
I purchased this scale because of price and it comes with batteries. I'm not sure how accurate it is. It's easy enough to check your own weight. However, it's really strange that the instructions tell you to stand in exactly the same spot each time you weigh yourself. Seems odd. You never had to worry about that with the previous generation of scales. Too difficult to figure out how to weigh your pets. Returned it.
Like, I think it is accurate However, I bought it to check my old digital. And now this shows about 3 lbs over the older one, but it is consistent. So which one is accurate? don't know and now don't care. I think I will know if my pants start to get too tight and not from shrinking. My weight goes up and down. I think its my age and medicines. Certain medicines make it go down. Others make it go up. Water containment seems to be biggest problem. It didn't happen when I was younger and took no medicines.
If you need to be obsessed about your weight get a stand-on type scale with weights.
Also I have wood floors and different areas show different weights. But at least both scales are consistent. So really can't tell how accurate on any scale. Same goes for scale at doctors.
Started out working great but after about two weeks it started giving different results. Example I would I get on in would give me a result, then I would get right back on and it would give me a different result. It takes about 4 times to get an accurate weight. Don’t recommend this product.
