Been experimenting with bra brands for decades and never found one that ticks all the boxes. This bra was cheap and works so well. I am a 14D and run races. Its fully adjustable velcro shoulder straps are easy and don't rub. No underwire, so no chafing under boobs (this was a massive problem for me). Fabric is not too elasticated, so stays and supports. High neck scoop means boob cleavage isn't hanging out and shaking around. The only I find tricky is doing the back up first thing in the morning when I don't have the strength in my hands. Have overcome this by stepping into bra like pants and pulling up over hips up into position (I can get away with this, as I have no hips). I have re-purchased twice, collecting colours. I have found my bra brand finally. Going to stock up and get on with my active life now YAY!
I love this sports bra. I went by an Australian conversion size chart to get my "accurate size" and found the conversion to be slightly off. I personally found the band to be a bit big but that could have been my fault.
i wear a 34 DD. ordered this in a 34DD . It fits perfectly, on the tightest hook. (edit: after washing on warm in machine and air drying, there was a tiny bit of shrinkage, so the middle hook is now better) I had to adjust the shoulders up a bit,to get good "holding" but the under chest band is wide, soft and very comfortable. I am mainly using for yoga, treadmill walking and stationary cycling.....not entirely bounce free for high impact activity, unless shoulders are put up really high, but much better than many sports bras I have tried. Cut nice and high on front and sides so no spillover. Only thing I don't love about it is that It does not have any real cup separation, so there is slight uniboob/flattening problem, which is not an issue for working out, but not so good for wearing during the day with other clothing, if that is an issue for you.
Also, the shoulders on this bra are very comfortable, even with a heavy chest Had a problem with my other high impact running bras, on which the partial racerback type straps pulled on the trapezius muscles when shortened enough to reduce bounce, causing significant muscle pain after a few hours.
I am 34G and 145 pounds. I didn’t have super high hopes for this bra, but ordered because the reviews were pretty good and it is cheap compared to the $70 bras I normally see for my size. I’ve used it on a few short runs and one nine mile run. There’s definitely some bounce, but not as bad as other bras I’ve had. I don’t think I’ll ever find a bra with zero movement. The straps are weird with the Velcro, but I did get used to it. I set everything as tight as it goes to try and minimize movement. I debated between 4 and 5 stars. I went with five because for its price, it’s an excellent sports bra. Will it be my race day bra? Probably not. Will it get used regularly? Absolutely.
This sports bra was the 5th I ordered and the 1st to keep. And bought another.
I recently lost 30+ ponds and the girls were swimming (or sinking) in my old bras. I read tons of reviews and finally started ordering sports bras with free returns in search of a good one for my old gals. Since finding this brand, I have ordered 2 more. Although far from sexy, I feel safer and will no longer potentially harm someone nearby at the gym. Be safe, not sexy is my motto.
I typically wear a 42F in Cacique bras, but bought a 40G and a 42G in this just to be sure of a good fit. I was surprised that the 40G actually fit better - the 42 was WAY too loose, even on the last row of hooks. Definitely a uni-boob look but the big girls seem fairly well contained. I liked how eassy it was to adjust the straps, though I wonder how durable the velcro closures will be long-term.
What are the newer sports bra designers thinking? I really don't want to wrestle my sports bra over my head, especially one for high impact sports. I want a bra that has a clasp in the back and is easy to adjust the straps. Years ago I bought Moving Comfort's Fiona - best design EVER. So then Brooks bought the company and made Fiona but sadly it looks like they are no more. This bra is as close as a substitute for Fiona as there ever was. The price is great as well.
I was bummed when NB discontinued a similar sports bra and I could not find one comparable. Until I found this one. It is the same awesome support and less expensive. I am a 36DDD and the 38DD fits perfect. Just the right amount of compression and is comfortable for hours. I recommend it!!
I have been running in Brook Fiona bra for years and was very disappointed to find out they are starting to discontinue it. I am so happy to find this bra. It is basically the same bra and significantly cheaper. I wear a 32DDD in my normal day bra but I like to go down to 32DD for my sports bras. This bra fit true to size and exactly like the Brooks Fiona.
