Exelente. Por lo general soy M , pedí M y si me quedò como esperado. Ahora solo falta probarlo en la nieve pero creo que no voy a tener ningún inconveniente ya que tiene todos los requisitos indispensables. Además están muy soaves , ligeros y cómodos .
Maybe ordering a size up would have helped, but these pants have no room in the rear. They were not tailored to women with hips or any curve whatsoever. And I'm not talking about super curvy, hour glass ladies. I mean, the back of these pants were FLAT. I would have exchanged them to see if the large was better to accommodate my derriere, but I wasn't given the option to try. Returning these. I won't be trying another pair unless they offer them to me at the same lower price. If I didn't have to move or sit, I would have said these pants were super soft inside and seemed to be really warm.
Seems like good quality material but the fit was not at all what I expected. I’m usually a medium-large so I got a large of these snow pants. I could barely get them on, and once I did there was no way I could comfortably move around or sit! Not nearly enough room in the rear, though the waist band hung open and loose behind me (tight in the tummy, but gap in the back). No way there would be room for jeans underneath. Like I said, I’m usually a medium-large, I’ve never needed an XL anything in my life, but I’ll have to return these and get just that!
I bought these for a ski trip in northern Vermont. It snowed on the slopes and it was -1 F (-18 C). I wore a single base layer under these and my legs were warm and dry for the entire time I was outside. I also used them a lot for shoveling a foot of snow off the driveway (this time -5 F with windchill). I was still warm and dry without a base layer while shoveling.
I found these ski pants to fit great. I'm 5'5 with relatively short legs, 135 pounds, with a 38 hip. I usually wear a size 4-6 pant (more frequently 6s than 4s). I tried on both the S and the M. Both sizes fit me decently, but the M gave me a bit more freedom of movement so I went with that and just adjusted the waist with the velcro tabs inside the pants. They have a lot of features I appreciate that are standard for ski pants (that inner layer that goes in the ski boot, good zipper pockets, waist adjustment). Maybe professional skiers would want more features but as someone who has been skiing a few times before, all my needs were totally met. These were perfect for staying warm and dry in wet and cold conditions. They were strong and flexible enough for skiing. I'm really happy with this purchase. I personally value function far above style, but I also found these surprisingly flattering (for ski pants). I looked at ski pants for $140-$300 at a sports store in NYC but ended up buying these since I only ski once a year and these were a much better bargain (~$60). I'm definitely happy with this decision.
I did not receive anything in exchange for writing this review.
I had gained a little weight this winter and decided to order a larger pair of ski pants to be able to add a couple base layers underneath and still be able to breath. I'm 5'3" 165lbs and I ordered an Xlarge. I like the Columbia brand ski pant as they are warm and waterproof. But the Xlarge was ok in the waist, they have velcro cinches on the side, but the legs were huge especially in the thigh area, and they were way too long. Back they go.
I use and enjoy a lot of Columbia winter gear, including the Alpine Action Omni-heat jacket, Omni-heat touch glove liners, glacial fleece turtle necks, and thermal base-layer leggings. But the insulated snow pants I bought two years ago, size large, were too big and now are at least six inches too wide at the waist. Even with a rope around the waist, though they kept me warm in the 11-degree wind chill earlier this week, they're too big to use.
This time, I bought the Bugaboo II Omni-heat pant in cross-dye black to match the jacket. They're lighter weight with the same quality of insulation. This time, based on my experience with the first pair, I ordered a small. I'm 5'6", weigh between 120 and 123, and the small fits perfectly, with plenty of room for base-layer leggings underneath. By my waist and hip measurements, the chart calls for a medium. Don't follow the chart; follow your usual size. With windchill in the teens and single digits in the weeks ahead, I'm delighted I found the right pants size in my favorite winter gear.
I was worried from reviews that these pants would be too small but they fit great! I ordered a large, I'm 5'6" athletic build 180lbs. I wear size 10-12 normally. They aren't huge and bulky, they fit really nice and I don't have the gap issue in that back that I read about. They fit great over my ski boots. Can't wait to try them out on Monday!
