I bought three of these raincoats from North Face for myself and my teenagers because I know I can count on North Face for quality and these did not disappoint. Lightweight, not bulky and not terribly unflattering as many can be. Thumbs up! Would be great for travel as well.
I bought a North face jacket at TJ Maxx late last year and saw how small the jackets were running So I bought an x large I take a medium in ladies usually I like my outwear not to have a sports fit because I do more than run in the park in them I like extra room for layering and love the additional length in a rain coat especially here in SE Ga where our rains can get pretty dicey It's ok quality but it's made in China and it's a truly expensive jacket taking that into consideration Seems fairly weather proof but haven't experienced tropical weather in it yet Would I buy it again? probably not but if having North Face on your chest means something go for it Personally I'd pay more if it was made in America and provided jobs for Americans 3 stars sums it up
This is the waterproof running jacket I have been wanting for years. It is lightweight and moves with the body nicely on the most active trail runs. It is also a fabulous windbreaker on chilly days. Although I occasionally wish for pit zips on warmer wet days, I would rather get wet than swelter if pit zips are really needed. As a former wildlife biologist, I have worn many different waterproof fabrics. Breathable and truly waterproof under deluge conditions is not yet possible. That said, so far this jacket has held up through several outings of steady rain, for more than an hour, without making it through to my skin.
