I'm 6'3" or so, and about 200 lbs, and this fit me very snugly. Not too snug, but it definitely hugged my torso and arms just like a thin wetsuit would do.
Getting it on and off takes a second -- it's a bit tough to do alone when it's wet and you are trying to roll it off your torso, but can be done with a small bit of effort.
Brushed up against some rocks while diving, which tore a small hole into it on the first day using it (of course). Have washed it a few times since then, and the hole seems to stay the same size, so that's a plus.
If I had to buy again, I'd probably get a size up for using it on land, although the way it is is fine for diving/snorkeling, otherwise you'll have to deal with drag.
The fabric on this is nice and I think it would feel good in the water. Unfortunately, we won't be trying it out. My husband wears a large but I ordered an XL based on reviews recommending it. He is 6"1, 200 pounds and generally trim. He first had trouble getting it over his head, then once it was on he could barely breathe. I wish I had planned further ahead and could have reordered something else . We leave on the trip we needed this for in the morning. I looked locally and apparently sunscreen shirts for men are not in many stores yet.We will have to buy one when we get to the sun.
Bought this a size up from normal, as it is listed as form fitting. However, even that was way too small. I would suggest at least two sizes up unless you like it skin tight. I realize it should cling to the body some, but I could barely get it on. Quality of material seems nice, but obviously made for people with perfect, completely fat-free, v-shaped bodies. I much prefer the Speedo rash guards which fit great when I buy my normal size.
Yes, I get it's supposed to be slim fitting. I put this shirt on and felt like I was shrink wrapped in fabric. Pretty much couldn't even breathe. Pro Tip: Buy the next size larger than you would usually get. Or skip this item all together and go with another brand. Plenty of swim shirts and rash guards out there that don't suffocate you. Plus, this looks a bit ridiculous even on someone with a decent body shape. It is beyond tight and form fitting.
I bought a medium-short sleeve and love it! However the long sleeve Medium is tight around the neck and upper chest, the sleeves are ridiculously tight, I have thought about cutting an inch or so off the collar, and cutting vee in the neck, and maybe cutting off the sleeves, in order to get some use out of it. I am not going to pay $20 in shipping charges to go up a size - a waste of money!!!!
