It took me several tries to get the size right on these. Quite a few reviews stated that they run small. I am 5'8" and weigh 143 pounds. Waist is 29" and hips are 38". I normally wear a small or Medium depending on how pants run. Listening to the reviews I ordered a Medium and a large pair (with free returns). Both were too big. So I ordered them in size Small and those fit much better...not so baggy and gappy in the waist. I am a race-walker and admit that I have very large muscular calves and I wouldn't mind a bit more room at the bottom of these pants. But if you have normal legs this shouldn't be a problem. The fabric is super thin and lightweight. And there is a ton of stretch in it...they are very comfortable. I think they will be ideal for travel to tropical climates and great for hiking. They do feel and look a bit like pajama bottoms but I guess that's not really a bad thing. I gave them 4 stars at this point because I've not worn them to see how durable they are. Time will tell.
UPDATE: I liked these pants enough that I ordered a pair in gray. Since the pair that I already had was a size small and those fit well, I ordered the gray in a small too. They were WAY too small! So I reordered them in a size medium and they were perfect.
Also, I wanted another pair of the tan ones. When I ordered another pair in size small (keep in mind that I already have a pair in size small and they fit perfectly). The new tan ones came in too small! URGH! It's safe to say that quality control is terrible on these...the sizes run Willie-nillie so you never know what you are going to get when they arrive. I had to send them back. Guess I'll just stick with the pair that I already have that fits.
I’m 4’11”, 127 lbs and I carry my weight in my hips so I went with a medium. Mistake, the medium was way too large, the small fit much better. I hope this helps someone else! Onto the actual capris, they are light, comfy, quick drying, the hip pockets are just deep enough and the cargo pocket will fit a wallet but not an iPhone 6, if that helps explain dimensions.
These are a great pair of pants. They fit at the waist and are so comfortable. I am not a fan of "leggings " nor do I like wearing shorts ( the older one gets) These pants are a great fit without being to tight,or being to baggie.
I have a pair of North Face Aphrodite capris that I wore to death last summer. When I saw these I thought I'd try them and while they are okay, I'm not 100% sold...I almost returned them. They fit great. They are comfortable. They just don't have the extra touches like the seaming and ruching that make the Aphrodites both comfortable AND attractive. I eventually decided to keep these for around the house wear, but I probably will spend the extra $ for the real deal next time.
These are okay. They are lightweight, which is what I was looking for. The band is one of those wide, thick elastic bands that can sometimes be so restricting on the belly, but this one isn't really that bad. I do wish they were lighter on the thick elastic band and more on the drawstring, but it is what it is. My biggest complaint is that there is too much material around the hips and thighs. I have to fold the waist band over to make the material on my upper legs be a decent fit. That being said, I'll keep them. I think they'll be really good for hiking or lounging in warm weather. For reference I got the M and I'm a M in most pants. I'm 5'8'', 140 pounds, hips 36'', waist 30''.
I needed a pair of pants that were lightweight and would dry quickly for a vacation. I ordered within a few days of leaving and they arrived in enough time for me to wash them before we left. They came out of the washing machine almost completely dry. The pants are extremely comfortable. The only issue I had was the size. I read the reviews for my height and weight and ordered a large. I was swimming in the pants. I could pull the waist up to my bustline but I didn’t have time to order a smaller size. I ended up folding the waist over once and that seemed to help. Because I am 5’4 the pants were closer to ankle pants but not quite at the ankle. I loved them so much I just ordered 3 more pair in different colors only I went from a size large to a medium. For reference I am 5’4 and about 179 lbs.
Nice looking and seems well-made, quick-dry and non-wrinkling. It is a loose fit. It works fine for me in the back because I have a fairly large bum, but it looks overly loose in the front (a bit messy, not flattering). In general very comfortable and great for any physical activity requiring movement. But it does look like sport/active clothing, not a fitted or smooth look like trousers. I would wear it only in sport-related activities. The bottom of the pant is secured by an elastic knotted string, so not really adjustable.
